Medium dark red color, though not much head and it did not last long. Decent aroma, inviting, mix of sweetish malts and the bitterness of the hops. Taste follows the aroma well, slight sweetness of the malts at first, with reasonable bitter aftertaste from the hops, making it well balanced johnluvsbeer (120) - Arizona, USA - MAR 2, 2012
Reddish color with an off white head. Hops are mildly noticeable in the pour but the aroma doesn’t linger. Taste is slightly sweet and malty with a slight bitterness in the finish. Mouth feel is medium with light carbonation, while drinkability is good because of the smoothness of the finish and the nice malty sweetness. jeffhobo (94) - Nevada, USA - MAR 10, 2012
Deep amber. Head vanished quickly, into average lace. Aroma is of malts and caramel, but a bit subdued. .Mouthfeel is medium. Not much carbonation. Taste is smooth, and sweet at the start with a bit of hoppiness to end it. The malts and carmels are very evident, but not overwhelming. Nice balance. Would like it more if had more body and a bigger hoppy bite. GTCruiser01 (105) - California, USA - MAR 26, 2012
Pours a deep, brownish amber with an off-white, creamy head. The head is somewhat small, but retains well. Aroma is of malt and some flowery hops but a bit faint. Taste starts with hops and finishes with a slightly sweet malt character. The hops aren’t too bitter but the taste lingers for a while. Good drinkability. beermanusa (77) - California, USA - DEC 10, 2010
Apparently a new microbrewery in LA. On tap at Blue Palms in Hollywood.
Appearance: Light hues of red and brown, giving rise to a smooth tan head.
Smell: A noseful of fresh malted grains.
Taste: Sharp hop flavours ride on a light champagne style carbonation, followed by a nice mouth feel and smooth malt body. An interesting buttery driness coats the mouth.
Nice head retention and balance of malt to counter balance the hops. A very drinkable Red which seems to be a rarity these days!

I typically don’t drink Red, but tried it at the LA beer festival and really liked it. Since my palate was shot at the festival, I thought I give it a try at a local bar that had it on tap.The beer begins a nice deep red color. the head imposing and frothy in its texture, leaving a thick sheet of lace to seal off the glass. You are greeted by malt, and some light to middling floral tones from the hops, fresh and quite pleasing to the senses. Begins sweet, the top is middling in feel, the finish bitingly hoppy, and the aftertaste dry. I guess wasn’t too drunk after all. This is a good beer. Will try their IPA next. wlajwl (6866) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - JUN 29, 2013
Aroma is light tropical fruit, caramel and mild sweetness. The flavor is caramel malts, tropical fruit, a small hint of hop resin and a tangy/bitter finish. jmohno (1628) - Iowa, USA - OCT 3, 2012
Cloudy Amber,thin head, moderate carbonation.
Some light hop aroma with malt, carmel, light roast, some fruit maybe tropical like with orange and melon notes. Wheat like or bready malt.
Taste is malty with some carmel notes, somewhat hoppy, has a flatness in the middle of taste, maybe some oxidation. Has chocolate, has a hoppy dullness towards the end along with a light bitter. Some dry toast/roast at finish, could use more bittering. Average/maybe above average.Pretty good anytime beer. Sampled at pinball. Very smooth. A nice fruit and malt backbone. Just a little spicy hops under that. A lot of understated goodness. dwyerpg (6216) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - SEP 22, 2012
This beer was only okay for me. Heavy on the malt, it’s a bit sticky sweet as well. Some hops are there but weakly. A disappointment after the pale.
