3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Societe tasting room. Cloudy yellow orange in color. Taste is floral hops, lavender, bitter earthy notes with a lemon citrus taste. Medium to light body. Overall: A little more enjoyable than Alpines version
On tap @ O’Brien’s: Aroma is mild with a sturdy profile of hops but at the same time a notice of yeast which I’m not used to in an IPA. The flavor is tart as well as being bitter but the hops tend to override the hay grain like malts with a bit of metallic and citrus like fruit peels. I prefer the Alpine 10/19 Anniversary over this Societe recipe. Hophead22 (2879) - Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA - MAR 30, 2013
Tap at the brewery. Rating #5. Didn’t get to try the Alpine version so I can’t compare. This was a very nice drinker, medium bitterness and a pretty decent aroma. (2625) Schmaltzy (13) - Indiana, USA - JAN 26, 2013
Very nice, very sessionable single hop ale using Chinook hops. Very nice slight citrus an earthy flavors but a little thin on the palate. At 5.6% it is a beer that I could drink all day. I preferred this over the alpine slightly. JohnnyJ (5569) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 21, 2013
Draft. A slightly hazy straw yellow color, with a white head. Lemon, grapefruit, citrusy hops, a bit earthy, light bready dry malt, and grass. A light IPA, easy drinking, but unfortunately not very interesting.

Pale yellow/straw pour with a white head. Sweet fruit, floral hops, and some grass. A bit of grapefruit skin, tangerine, and pine. Fairly dry with only a bit of bready malt. The flavor is also fairly dry with limited malt character. Grapefruit, tangerine, and orange peel. Some floral hops, sweet fruit, and grass. Light pine bitterness on the finish.
