On tap @ the brewery. Slightly hazy yellow body, lasting white head. Very fragrant fresh tropicl fruit hop character (noticably different profile from the session IPA), pineapple and mango, some graperfuit. Slightly sweet pale malt base, long bitter finish. The kind of IPA I could drink all night. RoccaDarcy (8) - San diego, California, USA - DEC 3, 2015 does not count
Hazy orange pour hoppy floral notes on nose. Flavor is bitter but not too harsh bitter fresh hop bitter. Light malt backbone great brew. corby112 (2813) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 14, 2015
Pours a hazy, pale golden yellow color with a one finger frothy white head that slowly settles into a thick, lasting ring. The glass is left coated with large sheets of soapy lacing.
Floral, slightly earthy and oily resinous hop aroma with pine needle and tons of tropical fruit. Lots of grapefruit, papaya, pineapple and orange peel countered by pale biscuit malt, toffee and graham cracker.
Full bodied with a slight creamy texture and a blast of earthy, piny hops countered by a boat load of tropical/citrus fruit notes and a pale makt backbone. Grassy pine needle and earthy bitterness along with a ton of grapefruit, mango, pineapple and lemon peel. Really complex and delicious hop profile. Light pale malts underneath with biscuit and graham cracker. Really well balanced and way too easy to put down. I could drink this all day. Awesome beer! I tried several Societe beers on my last trip to SD and this was the most flavorful. Highly recommended! reggiedunlop (3726) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 23, 2015
Pours a clear golden/orange with a creamy medium white head...heavy lacing. Aroma has notes of hoppy spice, citrus rind, herbal hops, and earthy/piney bitterness. Lots going on and great balance of hoppy flavors. Mouthfeel is medium and very slightly oily with a dry earthy/resinous finish. Really nice! cubs (10740) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - OCT 10, 2015
GABF 2015. Multiple pours. Pretty clear golden yellow appearance with an off white head. Pretty spicy hoppy nose. There’s some grapefruit, passion fruit, black pepper, and dank bud. Pretty good.

Clear gold. Dank er hops on nose. Bitter pine, grapefruit, tropical fruit juiciness, light cracker. Great west coaster. radagast83 (8624) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - AUG 22, 2015
Poured a clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma was light tropical fruit notes with some light citrus and some light malts. Flavor was hops, light bitter notes, touch of fruity character to it. Pretty tasty. blipp (9904) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUL 18, 2015
Draft. Pours clear gold with a white head. Grassy and light piney hops, moderate bitterness, and light pale malts. Pretty good. PartyFowle (954) - - MAY 20, 2015
All of Societe’s hoppy brews are incredibly light in color. Apprentice is no different, and it’s odd to taste a beer so hoppy that looks like a pilsner. Orange peel and papaya mix in the fruity, tropical nose. The flavor adds mango, pink fruits and juicyfruit. Snappy, sharp, biting bitterness. There’s very little malt to back it all up, just some white crackers and a hint of honey. That’s one way to make the hops stand out, I suppose: add hardly any malt at all. I’m not complaining. presario (4925) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - APR 16, 2015
Pairs well with meatloaf. Gold with so much steady carbonation it looks like a white tornado in the glass. Maintains a thick white foam and strong lace. Very nice. Smooth. Steady hop note.
