Pours a clear golden yellow on tap with fluffy white head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma of mild Belgian phenolics, spicy clove esters and a light fruitiness. Taste follows, a hint of sweet maltiness and earth hops to back up the yeast. Not bad, but nothing exceptional. MetalNHopHead (2306) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - JUL 12, 2017
The Harlot was about just as tasty as The Debutante, the Societe Belgian Ale I enjoyed right alongside it. It had a similar flavor makeup too. The Harlot differentiates itself by having a gold color and more bright yeast esters which make the aroma more champagne-like. Flavor has a fat grain sweetness with yeasty notes of pepper, clove, tropical fruit zest, banana, and stone fruit. Rich, velvety feel. It drinks easy and with a great deal of complexity. deyholla (12663) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 17, 2017

Draught at City Beer SF. Golden color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, yeast, hops, a bit of ripe fruits and toast. Bitter finish with citrus, hops, yeast, ripe rruits and grass. Very nice brew. onceblind (11099) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 28, 2016
Very slightly cloudy light golden hue with a thin foamy white head. Funky dusty aroma that’s a little estery toward the banana end of the spectrum, with a light kiss of bitter orange peel. Crisp and dry and Belgian estery flavor that’s Saison-esque and banana ish, dry and wheaty finish.
GarrettB (1715) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 7, 2016
May 9th, 2014 - Societe has been calling, beckoning, inviting me over for most of my time here in San Diego, and today I make the trip, stepping into the old-timey enchantment they’ve cast on their beers, walls and other marketing materials. And the line of tasters (my favorite introduction to a brewery) begins with their Harlot, a medium-light yellow beer with a considerable edge of foam, given the small and stunted glass it suffered in. The aroma is lemony sweet with a carefree wisp of floral essence, and a springtime scent that would be welcome in luxury hotels and open houses everywhere. The palate is fascinating, long, low and powering the flavors, sweet but not cloying, with something that reminds me of snapdragons in my parents’ backyard. This is a very enticing introduction to Societe’s beers, and validates their reputation amongst my colleagues and SD beer scene vets.
