(On tap @ Societe, April 3/17) Pours hazy medium gold with a fine white head and nice lace. Aroma of juicy orange, mango, leafy, papaya, florals, light resin. Flavour is pretty juicy, papaya, orange, white grapefruit, some floral tropical fruit notes, a bit of dank resin, slightly sweet pale malt. Medium-high bitterness in the middle to back end, resin, leafy, some grapefruit pith. Medium body for style with pretty soft carb. Really nice stuff, the bitterness is more assertive than some modern beers but the fruity quality is rich and juicy. rejtable (2621) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 10, 2017

Oh, SD. Is there any limit to your tasty IPA’s? Evidently not. The Pupil’s hoppy gifts are complex and endlessly juicy. Gold color. Vibrant, fruity aromatics. Leafy, grassy, floral, and fruity. Bubblegum, apricot, peach, mango, lavender, and vinous grape hop qualities. Refreshing mineral finish and a lingering bitterness. onceblind (9397) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 26, 2016
Lightly hazy golden with a thin white cap. Lovely grassy and lightly piney nose that’s a touch peppery and pale malty. Crisp delightful flavor that’s pale malty but pops with grassy and leafy bitter hops and a bright pithy bitterness. Bready though bitter and resiny. Had this once before and thought it was decent (3.75 on Untappd), but nothing special. Snuck over to Societe after dropping something off for work and heading to a local hospital quick to review a quick one. Hoping this would be better than I originally had it.
Poured a golden yellow, clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of frothy white head when I got it. Lots of bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. Good spotty lacing. Above average retention. (Sight - 3.75)
Smelled nice and tropical up front, specifically guava and mango. Also floral hops, Nelson-like and Citra. First part of sell was great, but it thinned out rather quickly. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose, but still followed it. Got dry tropical hops mango, bitter tropical rind, guava, Citra, spicy (Simcoe or Amarillo), hints of Nelson, resin and lemon zest. (Taste - 4.00)
Light-to-medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt bitter finish. Goes down nice. (Feel - 4.25)
A very good IPA, even better than I thought it would be. (Overall - 4.00)
