Tap @ brewery. Dark brown pour with a tan head. Aroma is dry pepper and spice with light banana clove and denser sweet malt with fig and plum. Taste follows the aroma is pepper, spice, clove, and heavier sweet malt notes including raisin. Drinks very clean for such a high ABV beer. I enjoyed this beer a lot.
Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a near clear amber brown with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet grains and bread with a bit of Belgian yeast supporting. Draught at the brewery. Pours lightly hazy brown with a medium, creamy beige head, medium retention. Aroma is moderate bready malt, caramel notes, dates, figs, light earthy hops. Flavor is moderate bready and caramel malt with dates, figs, light earthy hops and bitterness with apple esters and a sweet finish. Medium-full body and medium carbonation. Draft at the Rare Barrel taproom. Pours clear, deep ruby with a creamy, off-white head. The nose holds brown bread, Belgian yeast, toffee. Medium sweet flavour with more brown bread and toffee, yeast, some dried berries. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Dark amber with a pale head. Aroma is dates, spices, other dark fruits. Medium-full bodied, lightly sweet and spicy on the palate with a hint of candies bacon. Taste is dates, candies bacon, Belgian spices.

Nose is tarte fruit esters, spice, light funk, barnyard, apple skins.
Taste comprises caramelised brown sugar, light funk, toffee, fruit loaf, nutty.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a link of warming alcohol.

Draft at The Rare Barrel. Pours a cloudy deep amber with an off-white head that settles into a ring and leaves spots and streaks of lace. Notes of banana, caramel, nuts, brown sugar, toast, figs, and mild spices. Belgian yeasty esters lead the way here. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet mouthfeel. Good. Decent change of pace at The Rare Barrel.
