Draft @ the Brewpub. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty aroma with hints of caramel. Smooth malty caramel flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty caramel finish with some hoppy hints in the aftertaste.

On tap at Sockeye Pub & Grill, pours a clear copper with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt and light hop resins. Flavour is dry, with bready and biscuity malt, and very minor hopping. Restrained and boring, but it’s fine.

Dark Amber pour. Heaven in every sip? Not here. An average Amber in every aspect - light toast, caramel and hops. Thin to medium body. Standard fare.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a bright amber color with a large white head. The aroma is a earthy caramel mix, very interesting. The flavor is similarly dominated by a sweet caramel flavor with loads of earthiness. Toasted and sweet flavors. Also, a great mouthfeel.

On tap at the Sockeye brewpub. Pours copper with light tan head and spotty lacing. The aroma is a snoot full of malts running from mildly roasty to nutty to a bit of biscuit. The taste is roasty and nutty and then punctuated by pine hop bitterness here and there. Into the finish a pleasing level of nuttiness rises up a bit along with a sense of earthy notes. The roasted malts help dry it out some into the finish with a light amount of astringency.

On tap at brewpub pours out a hazy amber topped with a light tan head. Pretty cool hop/malt mix. A good tasting amber.

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2003 This is the year-round amber on tap at Sockeye. Pours an expected amber color with head that stays until the end and lacing that goes up and down the glass. The aroma is lightly hoppy, I always love the choices of hops they use. Pine and plum flavors, herbal hop finish. A clean malty background with a very balanced body, good local amber.

Nice mild aroma with a good amber color, clear with a thin head. This is a tasty amber ale good hops backing with the lingering bitterness at the end. Very nice beer.

Round from Sockeye. Amber body with very thin , foamy head. Normal malty aroma and taste, nothing memorable or exciting, decent beer, but not my favorite style.
