Can at RBSG. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head. The aroma is bourbon, vanilla, roast, oak. Thick, roast, dark chocolate, oak, smoke, boozy, dry finish, very good. tmoreau (4632) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JUN 23, 2017
750 ml. bottle from the brewery, shared & poured to snifters displaying a black/brown hue, with some ruby highlighting, a presentable layer of brownish tan froth, and foamy spots of lacing. The nose was roasted, cocoa, dark caramel sweetness, touches of barrel tannins, and vanilla. The taste was similar, medium+ bodied, with low carbonation, syrupy texture, some earthy & roasted bitterness, booze and warmth. Decent, par for the course Imperial Stout. slowrunner77 (12804) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 22, 2016
Never had the base but this was a slightly boozy chocolate vanilla roasted sipper of a stout. Pleasant thought and easily the best I’ve had from them. b3shine (9143) - Indiana, USA - FEB 5, 2016
Can to taster. Looks good; a mostly opaque dull black with beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of dark malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, oak, and mild roast. Tastes like it smells with a bit of toasted coconut as well. Mouthfeel is medium full-bodied and fairly bitter. Enjoyable, and a nice bonus that it’s available in cans.

A creamy head, lots of strong roasted and coffee black malt notes, hints of bourbon strong alcohol flavor stevoj (5569) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 27, 2015
On tap at Black Friday. This one burns just by looking at it. I was trying not to like it...but what’s not to like. Black body, singing alcohol aroma, taste unites the alcohol, roast grains and wood notes into an unholy mess of greatness. Sockeye, I bow in your direction. mcberko (18950) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 23, 2015
Can, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out complex bourbon barrels above anything. Flavour is similar, with really complex bourbon notes coming through, medium sweetness, a little vanilla and a touch of cocoa. Really complex and cohesive, with wonderful refinement. Excellent. Can - Toasted coconut and tons of bittersweet chocolate. Jet black with a small brown head. Bitter, sweet and a long sweet bitter finish. A bit dry. Good can. Dogbrick (13763) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 2, 2015
Sample at GABF 09/26/2015, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. Brownish-black color with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes gradually. Small patches of lace. Roast malt, bourbon and coffee in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, chocolate malt and coffee. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Solid beer all around.
