RBWG16. Big thanks to BuckeyeBoy for sharing. The bottle pours with a hazy deep gold body that has copper hues and supports a near white head. The aroma offers up sugary cotton candy, some peach like esters and a touch of yeastiness. The taste delivers smooth sweetness that’s sort of pear and peach like fruity esters and then more sweetness to midway. I’m really not getting the barrel treatment here. Nice smooth soft sipper nonetheless. DSG (15623) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - FEB 12, 2016

Bottle at RBWG. It pours a pale yellow gold color with a white head. The aroma is bready with a little apricot funk. Hints of vanilla. The flavor has lots of apricot and some alcohol along with nice barrel notes. Pretty good stuff. Sledutah (8127) - Utah, USA - FEB 2, 2016

Cloudy golden with a small white head, some lacing. Aroma is floral and light fruits. Flavors are floral, grainy and woody
Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with small frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is yeast, sugar, fruit, wine. Medium mouth, vinous, yeast, fruity, light dry finish very good. Ferris (17947) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 30, 2016
Bottle - Sweet, perfumy and grass. Clear gold with a small white head. Sweet, grass, Belgian yeasty boozy fruity notes. Effervescent, but barrel notes are not there. obguthr (7010) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - JAN 6, 2015
Pear nose, moderate strength. Clear amber, thick head. Pear flavor, whiskey at midpalate and beyond. Somewhat vinous and dry. Green olive present without the brine. Medium body, fizzy, hot. Not my favorite style, but I’ve had quite a few examples that I enjoyed more than this. No off flavors, just not for me. stevoj (6042) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 8, 2014
On tap at PreFunk. Chardonnay barrels add a nice touch to this tripel, some extra fruitiness. Clear and in assuming. Could use a little extra tripel body and head. Aroma is pure grain tinged with a little grape fruitiness. Slick and sweet, extra sweetness from the barrels for sure. Nice overall body and taste. JohnGalt1 (1721) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 27, 2014
C+C 750 picked up at B:30 on the Anniversary release almost a month ago... Enjoyed tonight out of my Elysian pumpkin goblet... 1 finger white head rises up and shows only okay retention and lacing... the brew is perfect, clear golden.
The nose is fruity, apricot and citrus with a dry dusty vinous element.
The wine barrel comes out much more in the flavor, fruity esters make me think pear and apricot with some subtle lemon.. perhaps too much residual sugars for my palate.. oak is pretty prevalent on the finish making it seem pretty crisp.
Medium body is helped by the carbonation.. Well done and I normally don’t appreciate wine barrel aged brews very much.
