Draft @ the Brewpub. Pours a very pale yellow color with a small white head. Has a malty grainy weak hoppy aroma. Dry malty grainy flavor with weak hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty grainy finish with some weak bitterness in the aftertaste. mcberko (18950) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 2, 2016
On tap at Sockeye Pub & Grill, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out cereal notes and straw. Flavour is along the same lines, with cereal malts, straw and biscuity notes. Dry and easy to drink, but not especially good. jcwattsrugger (12524) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - MAR 5, 2010
on tap-pours a white head and yellow color. Aroma is sweet light malt. Taste is sweet light malt, herbal hops bite. Ibrew2or3 (8814) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - MAR 30, 2010
On tap at the Sockeye brewpub. Pours clear gold with bright white head. The mild aroma is mostly sugary sweet malt and a sense of yeast along with spicy and grassy hops. The taste begins with a brief pulse of spicy and floral hops before a wave of sugary sweet malts and graininess roll them over. Into the finish there’s lingering spicy and floral hop bitterness. It tries to be too sweet but the pleasing level of hop bitterness keeps the sweetness somewhat in check. BuckeyeBoy (8469) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 11, 2007
On tap at brewpub pours out a great clear gold topped with a white head. A little grain aroma along with a little hops. A little malt on it as well.

One of the best American kolschs I’ve tried. Light and airy, mild grain aroma and taste, slight hop tanginess at finish. Clear golden with laxy carbonation and small fluffy head. BückDich (5477) - McCall, Idaho, USA - MAY 3, 2005
Draught: Clear pale gold color, lots of head retention and thus lacing with a bright white color. Nose of light floral hops, all noble, and a biscuity malt body much richer than the appearance would have you assume. The flavor is lightly bitter with fresh hops and a balanced sweetness in the medium body that brings everything up and over onto your palate. A very light (refreshing) beer in that sense but equally quaffable in the olfactory world. Finishes clean and balanced. Nice kolsch, yum. oldrtybastrd (5228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - APR 6, 2010
Pours a golden yellow. Aromas of lemon, grains, celery. Flavor is crisp, dry, sweet malt, and a mild hop. IndianaRed (5031) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 18, 2006
On Tap at the BrewPub A clear light golden with a modest quick white head, and spotty lacing. Light grains and easy on the hops makes it refreshing and clean. Very slight bitterness at the end and a light feel. Pleasantly surprised. Nate (4296) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 23, 2007
Numero 1800, on tap at brewery. Mild grain-beany aroma, with sweet malt graininess and light fruity hoppiness. Golden clear with white foamy lacing head. Light bodied with medium carbonation. Crisp and clean with carbonic acidity, a bit bolder than most kölsch and a bit more bitter - like a kölsch on juice. Overall, though, it’s well balanced and is very refreshing. Paired well with the burger I had for lunch.
