From a can into a Het Kapittel chalice. Pours gold with head and lace. Aroma of bright hops and grains. Significant carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of grains, pale malts, hop resin, wet cereal, pine sap, straw hops, hay and some funky skanky fruit esters. Overall big, bold, complex, unique, challenging but fun for a hop head!!

hayduke (5691) - Eureka, California, USA - AUG 7, 2017
Draft pour at the Growler Guys at RBSG 2017 in Boise. Pours a color between orange and copper with a white head. Nose is intense and brings pine, citrus, and tropical fruit. Medium plus body. Resinous mouthfeel. Flavor is full of dankness, and there floral, citrus, pine, and fruit tastes that lead to a long bitter finish. Quite good.

Draft sample. The beer is a hazy copper with a white head of foam. Dry and floral notes. Bitter and herbal. Not for me.

can courtesy of Jeff, poured into a snifter..hazy copper with a fluffy white head..huge dank, bitter hop aroma with pine,resin,earth..man..what a hop bomb..one of the most bitter IPA’s i’ve had..but the bitterness overwhelms the balance..kind of a one trick pony.

On tap at Cole brewpub. A bit underwhelming, more subdued compared to others in the NW. Solid but tame.

12 oz can. Aroma is citrusy, earthy. Pours cloudy orange with a bone-white head with great retention, laces a little. Taste is sweet, savory, medium bitterness, slightly vegetal, but not in a bad way. Creamy mouthfeel, full body. Nice beer, and it stands out from the pack with that savoriness.

Nice pine aroma, light citrus and some caramel notes. The visual is a flat, overripe apricot, dark and hazy, covered with a soft short-lived head. The premiere taste is flat bitter with little accent, but with further pulls on the brew more flavor comes through and I begin to experience more depth in the taste. A long, drawn out finish, the heavier body is sticky and well carbonation. A good beer I would definitely have again!

Hoppy for the sake of hops, incredibly bitter so much that masks the hop profile, but its so good.
