From a growler purchased at Pauls Grocery in McCall, ID. Pours dark amber with a beige head. Nose of caramel malts and light fruit. Medium plus in body with a smooth creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is big on the malts but there are some grassy and floral hops there in the finish along with some bitterness.. Pretty darn good.

Can in Ogden and yes I am aware that I am drinking a Maibock in January but with UT’s crazy liquor laws it is hard to find unique beers. Pours a nice caramel color with a bubbly tan head that settles slowly. Cereal and toast in the aroma. Roasted malt dominates the flavor but not overly sweet and balanced with a light hint of hops. Enjoyable.

Reddish amber color out of the can with a creamy off white head. Big malty nose with some alcohol in it. Caramel sweetness with some peaty notes, dried fruit and dusty malts. A bit of earthy bitterness in the finish and more prominent alcohol as it warms.

Aroma and flavor of nuts, roast grains. Thin head fading to nothing on dark brown body. Taste a bit more bitter than 17 IBUs, was expecting this to be a heller bock, so pleasantly surprised to find it dark.
