Old Devil’s Tooth is in Cans!! Yaaayyy!! This will be a monster of a nightcap when camping.
Pours hazy amber... nice off-white head... tons of pithy bitterness and toasty/caramel maltiness.. something that I think of as golden raisins.. big citrus hoppiness.. long lingering finish with a medium/heavy body and good carbonation.
Want a lot of these for the cellar... Will they keep as well as the bottles? I sure hope so.
This is a damn good PNW Barley Wine..
On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with medium beige head leaving spotty lacing. Slick body, caramel, spice, candi sugar, boozy, very good. emacgee (4711) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - DEC 4, 2016
Sharp clean pour with two fingers of fine yellow khaki tan head. Nose shows burnt sugar, caramel, dense sweet bread, warming alcohol, earthy hops, and toasted grain. Full bodied and round in the mouth. More bitter/biting than I was hoping for. Burnt sugar/raisins with a little astringency and warming booze. 12 oz. can from a trade with Lectvay, much thanks! Market Amber/ brown color. Aroma is nice ... Rich toffee malt, sugar covered dates, and light pine hops.

Flavor took me by surprise, very smooth. Pine hops do well to balance out the sweet dark fruits and caramel/toffee malts. The bitterness lingers for a good duration after the swallow. Very nice BW from a can!
Poured from can thanks Airforcehops. Red to red brown with a thin white head. Aromas of caramel toffee and dried fruit. Taste is surprisingly smooth and sweet with notes of malt and bread and a nice alcohol burn with slightly bitter finish. WillRunForBeer (2803) - Massachusetts, USA - FEB 22, 2015
Can shared by AirForceHops, big thanks for the Idaho tick! Pours muddy medium brown with a scant off white head. Aroma is caramel, molasses, wet cereal. Flavor is caramel sweet up front, deep molasses, licorice in the finish. A touch too much grassy bitterness in the swallow. Warm.

bottle at Coles Barleywine Festival 2015. Deep orange pour, sweet & rich maltiness. Little malt complexity, good flavor but a one trick pony perhaps. Decent daknole (11048) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - OCT 20, 2014
Clear amber pour, off white head. Just a tad too much resiny hops for me, but not a bad beer at all. Lots of caramel and some bready notes....Just dial back the hops a bit for me. drfabulous (8809) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - AUG 24, 2014
12 ounce can thanks to Lectvay. Big caramel and toffee notes. Some dried fruit. Some brown sugar sweetness. Alcohol comes through a bit, but it should at this level. Pretty nice. A sipper. tderoeck (10615) - Gent, BELGIUM - JUL 16, 2014

Clear red to red brown beer, nice smooth creamy light beige head, bit adhesive. Aroma: very malty, grains, cow stable, hay profile, fruity, jam from red fruits, hint of chlorine. MF: soft carbon, full body, thick chewy texture. Taste: very sweet, sugary, not cloying though, fruity, strawberry jam, caramel, some vanilla. Aftertaste: sweet, mandarins, soft bitterness, bit sour, resinous, hoppy, dried fruits, caramel, malty.
Pours a deep amber brown with a thick off white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, toffee and alcohol. Taste is malty with a big alcohol burn. Not as smooth as I’d like it.
