Bottle @ thewolfs pre-festival tasting, Kolding.MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - APR 29, 2007
[thank you, ChristianScheffel]
Pours deep red with a fine, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, fruity, raspberries, black currants and caramel. Fine mouthfeel. Flavour is quite vinious, fine spiciness, caramel. Good yeast with a fine liqourice note (probably from anise) at the end. A truly pleasant surprise.
Draught, 7.9% at Frederikshavn øl- og vinfestival 07. Good fruity and yeasty aroma. Muddy orange/brown colour. Small light brown head. Nice and powerful flavour, sweet and peppery with yeast and dried fruit notes. To me it is more like quadrupel than dubbel. HenrikSoegaard (14176) - Randers, DENMARK - MAY 13, 2007

Bottle Børglum Kloster Abbedens Dubbel.
Golden colour with medium-sized white head. I would like it darker. Aroma is dried fruits and some caramel. Taste is quite sweet, with caramel, dried fruits. Medium to heavy palate. Holmen1 (5914) - Stavanger, NORWAY - SEP 29, 2013

500ml bottle as Børglum Kloster Abbedens Dubbel, provided by Beer_2000, thanks mate! Murky brown, nice little tanned head. Bubblegum and Belgo-yeast up front, light sweet, light toasted malts to follow. Taste is inviting, has an appropriate sweetness from dark malts and dark dried fruits and a mild and gentle hopbitterness. Well-bodied. Some acidity in the finish. I really like this one. UPDATED: SEP 30, 2008 Tried as "Børglum Kloster Abbedens Dubbel" Head gone in secs, deep red-brown beer. Roasted notes, spicy à souhait , coloured malts. Dry, woody, coloured malts very much to the fore, but very balanced. Medium bodied, dry finish. Interesting, though somewhat light in MF for a dubbel. dunkpigen (379) - Kolding, DENMARK - JUL 14, 2008
