SlackerMads (3479) - DENMARK - JUN 16, 2015
Bottle. Hazy light brown with a medium sized beige head. Nose has lemon, earth, bark, fat, light caramel. The flavour is muddled with malty notes of dark bread and caramel dominating. Some earth, bark, black berries. Medium body, fine carbonation, soft sweetness, astringent leafy green finish with light alcohol. Not a good example of the style and not pleasant to drink either.

larsga (7630) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAR 9, 2015
Big offwhite head. Clear deep dark red body. Faint caramelly aroma. Dry-acidic citric spicy taste is kind of flat. Mid-to-light body. Fizzy mouthfeel. Ends in acidic wooden fruity flavour. Yuck. Infected. (0.5l bottle, from Føtex, Frederikshavn.)

Så absolut een af de bedste IPA'er jeg har smagt. Vildt overvældende humlesmag

POLK (2219) - Hørning, DENMARK - JUN 29, 2014
Lightly toasted caramel flavor. Some residual sweetness. Careful Danish IPA, tastes like a hoppy brown ale.

Splitenz (370) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 29, 2014
Personal favorite of mine from Aalborg. Named for a fortress in Trankebar, India, a town once ruled by the kingdom of Denmark - Norway it has a good and strong hop flavor mixed into a lovely caramel citrus... "swirl".

Benzai (16568) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - OCT 27, 2013
Bottle shared by Joes. Clear dark orange to reddish color, medium sized off - white head. Smell malts, lightly hops, lightly sweetish. Taste malts, lightly hops, lightly bitter. Maybe a bit old but decent enough.

DutchDrebus (6139) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - OCT 27, 2013
Bottle @ benzai thx to joes. Copper colour, small off-white head. Smells sweet, malts, some hops. Tastes very sweet, malts, some hops. Nice but not great. medium body, nice carbo.

lusikka (7819) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 26, 2013
500 ml bottle.
Pours a dark copper colour with a small white head. Aroma is rather heavy on biscuity malts, toffee and some grass. Flavour of biscuity malts, grassy hops, caramel, some metallic notes, burnt bread, grapefruit and nettles. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a grassy, herbal, heavy malty finish. Too malty for an IPA. Actually the maltiness here is pretty much what you have in your average double IPA. This just doesn’t have the alcohol nor the amount of hops DIPA’s should have

Idiosynkrasie (7858) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUL 18, 2013
500ml bottle. Cloudyamber colour with average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Caramel malty aroma with a touch of almond, bitter hoppy overtones. Taste is minimally sweet caramel malty, hints of almond, not overly active bitter hoppy overtones. Malt dominated IPA.
