50 cl. flaske. 5,5 % .
On tap at Henrik, Bergen. The colour is very deep reddish brown with a medium beige compact and coffee-like head. Wonderful sweet aromas of chocolate, sweet malt, dades, some roast, little bit of lactose and ice coffee. Very nice flavours as well with some of the same things; chocolate, dried fruit and caramel. Has a slick mouthfeel, and a light bitterness. A surprisingly balanced and good dunkel. Countbeer (6592) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - AUG 21, 2013
Bottled as Knuthenborg Bryg Dark: Thanks to Papsø: Served in a Chouffe glass:
Dark brown pour. Medium sozed beige to light brown ish foamy head on top of a deep dark hazy brown colored beer.
Aromas of liquorice, toast, toasted malts, leaves, autumnal herbs, some soap and some chalk.
Flavours of liquorice, raisin, flowers, toast, some dried prunes, bitter, sweet tar, brown sugars, cream, autumnal herbs, rye, hint of older leaves, bread, yeast and a sprinkle of some spices. Overall a sweet raisiny and liquorice flavour.
Aftertaste is a smooth mix of raisin, toast, creamy autumnal herbs, liquorice and bread.
Low carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, medium to lightly fuller body and a creamy light oiky texture.
For 5.5% this is thick, quite strong and filled with toast, raisin and especially liquorice. Nice beer. I like it. Hansen (8595) - Assentoft, DENMARK - APR 9, 2006

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a deep brown colour with a thick off-white/beige head. Sweet aroma with an acidic touch - a lot like yoghurt (strawberry or raspberry, I believe). Weird! Spicy notes as well. Flavour is sweet and malty with a bitter finish. Fruity notes and faint notes of chocolate. That yoghurt-thing is in the flavour as well, although faint. gunnfryd (14869) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 15, 2006
On tap at søgaard bryghus. Dark brown with a light brown head. Roasted malt and chocolate aroma. The flavour is fruity with roasted caramel and malt. chriso (7533) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 7, 2006
On draught at the brewpub, August 2005. Rich, dark brown colour - somewhere between a Dunkel and a Schwarzbier. Big fluffy, off-white head. The aroma is dominated by malty elements - caramel, toffee and a dollop of butterscotch (but not too instrusive). More caramel in the flavour but there’s a touch of hoppy bite too, producing a clean and fresh tasting beer. Pretty decent.
