On tap at Ellyn’s Tap & Grill in Glen Ellyn, IL. and shaker served showing a clear & bright, brownish amber hue, with a frothy layer of off white/light cream colored foam, and foamy cling to the spiraling lacing. The nose was toasted, almost roasted, with a touch of toffee, earthiness, and maltiness that combined hints of wood, a little resin, and leather. Medium bodied, the taste was somewhat similar, with moderate carbonation, and pronounced earthy & roasted bitterness that lingered with some dryness into the finish. A quite hearty Amber that grew on me, and paired well with the spiciness of the appetizers. DuffMan (10459) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - APR 21, 2015

Aroma: The nose is fruity and lightly hoppy, caramel malts, earth, and some herbal notes
Appearance: Pours an unclear reddish color with a thick, frothy beige head and decent lace
Flavor: Tastes much the same, light sweet, leaning hoppy, with a clean bitterness on the finish
Palate: The body is medium, it has a creamy feel, soft carbonation, and a decently dry finish
I found this one to be pretty solid, but not amazing. It grows on you are you are drinking through the 22 ounces, which is nice, because it makes you think that it is something you could drink again easily.
Bottle shared by me. Pours reddish amber with off white head. nose/taste of pine, resin, grapefruit, grassy hops and caramel malt. Medium body.

Aroma is earthy, mild spiciness and a hint of pine. The flavor is grapefruit, light citrus, malts, fruit and a dry/bitter/mild hop resin in the finish. whitehotg8 (85) - Illinois, USA - APR 8, 2014
Bomber into a pint glass. Upon pour is a beautiful red hue with a frothy white head. Aroma is pleasant with plenty of floral hop notes and a malty sweet character coming through. Taste is clean and refreshing with a good balance and good sessionability. A solid American red ale for sure. Cheers to Solemn Oath! HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - MAR 29, 2014

Taste has medium bitterness, some herbal hops are front and center. Medium sweetness. Fairly balanced but hop forward. Palate is medium, lively carbonation, slick texture. Finish of medium duration and a fair amount of bitterness. kaser (6314) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 7, 2014
Very fruity aroma and taste. Candy flavored. Never had a beer like this but tasty. Sweet and smells like a cherry fruit roll up. Draft pour at whole foods crossovert (13080) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 16, 2014
