On tap at Apex. Pours cloudy golden with a foamy white head and a fruity citrus aroma. There is a hearty pale malt flavor with a little banana ester and a bitter hoppy finish. pantanap (3367) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 8, 2012
On tap at bangers SO invasion... Pours a mostly transparent brown cidery consistency and topped with a thin quickly reducing soapy white head... Belgian yeasty nose with mild citrus notes and tangerine presence. Adequate but that yeast seems to exist in a lot if these offerings... Flavors are more of the same but with an added earthy semi-bitter melon presence that adds an additional layer of complexity. Belgian yeast seems to be less abundant and those fruity notes amplified more which is nice. Medium bodied with semi-lively carbonation. Kind of enjoyed this one moreso from a flavor perspective. On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazed golden, slightly orange tinted body with a finger-width, creamy and frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma has lots of Belgian yeast and pines. Banana esters, clove phenols, grapefruits, florals, and a lightly sweetened, somewhat bready malt backing. Flavor is similar. Bitter pines, florals, and Belgian yeast throughout. Some clove, banana, grapefruit, tangerine, a touch of vanilla, and a lightly sweetened, somewhat bready malt backing. A bit of a melon note towards the end before this finishes dry, fairly bitter, fruity, and somewhat estery before leaving a lengthy aftertaste. Medium body and a softer, moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid beer. I’m not usually a huge Belgian IPA guy, but this was really nicely balanced and well done. Good one. madmitch76 (25568) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUL 20, 2014

Hazy orange amber beer, decent cream colour head. Palate is semi dry and crisp from fine carbonation. Smooth light malt base, touch of cream. Good orange hops with lesser tangerine. Touches of bitter peel, mango and spicy yeast. Finishes light and airy. Comes together well. Very drinkable.
Awesome beer here. Anything from solemn oath never disappoints. A nice hoppy finish is fantastic

On tap, poured into a goblet. The initial aroma is grassy and citrus, which fades, and a bread crust aroma comes through. It pours a clear, pale golden with whipped, white head that retains a medium / medium-thick ring and a fluffy, fuzzy surface. It also leaves an abundant, dense, sheet lace. The taste is a medium sweet and bitter. The beer is creamy and thick with a fluffy and creamy carbonation (with some fizz to it). The full body is bready with marmalde and a spice, herb zing at finish. It’s a bit dry with bread crust, bitter grapefruit, and pine making appearances as it warms. Resin and wax tastes linger in the aftertaste. pablo951 (686) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 22, 2015
This is very much a Belgian IPA, and their description belies the truth of the matter, a piney citrusy beer. Eh. It’s a’wight, you know what I’m saying. It’ll do in a pinch. Had it at Owen & Engine. jjgmd (2248) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - OCT 1, 2015
With Z, pours a rusty orange gold color with an ephemeral white head. Nose is deep citrus with softer pine and resin, and yeast . Taste is bitter , nice hops with yeast . Finishes on the citrus notes with a dry yeast ending . Quaff Score 7 / 10 TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - SEP 29, 2012
Flight pour on tap at the brewery (Naperville, IL). Pours a richer hazey golden amber hue, good haziness, and a frothy offwhite head that dies to a richer ring, laces well overall. Aromas are richer citrus, touches of dough, grapefruit, some bread, and florals. Gentle spice, mellow yeast. Bigger lemon and citrus as it warms. Simple but a hop dominant offering, some gentle dough and a kiss of apple. Initial is medium bodied, offering a firm hopping, bigger touches of dough and fruit, apple, kiss of pear, with grain, dough. Some sweetness invades, touches of yeast, mellow spice. Some dryness. Middle is gentle dough, bread, a kiss of dryness, hops and gentle spice. Backend offers some dryness, gentle earthy dryness, florals, a touch herbal. Mellow sweetness in the middle (as a sort of Imperial Belgian IPA would offer), more dry finish. Gentle spice, dryness. Pretty solid beer with lingering dry citrusy and earthy hops. Florals, some bitterness. Nice lingering head. A well done Imperial Belgian IPA, a kick of malt that preaches lighter more funf ruit presence, rich hop presence, but not a dominant bitter bomb. Tasty, albeit not my style of choice. DrnkMcDermott (3141) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - MAR 9, 2013
4 oz. taster at S.O. Dark honey brown, with a thin but persistent layer of foam. Not overly hoppy on the nose. The candi sugar sweetness of a Belgian Dubel toughs it out against an enamel-burning hop bitterness. A slight orange syrup note in the middle, even as it’s piercing my lips.
