What happened? Have enjoyed some of their other beers previously, but my god. After giving the beer more consideration it deserves above 1 but its not at all a fair representation of the style nor is it very palatable.

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2016 At Jerrys in Andersonville. Lovely drop of beer. Full flavor but wont put you under the table. Fills the need for a flavorful session beer. Serving: Tap

Draught from the brewery. Pours a reddish brown with a thin whispy off-white head. Nutty malty aroma with nuted floral hops. Flavor is balanced, dry with floral and malt sweetness. Mild lingering nutty bitterness.

Had this on draft at rockwells. Pours brownish with bubbles in the beer and foam - weird and intimidating look. Malty and earthy aroma. Biscuits and dry hops. Ok

Enjoyed this a lot. Had on draft at Marias Community Bar in Chicago. Very subtle notes of biscuit, bread, and dough, but balanced nicely with some earthy hops. Has a bitterness that doesnt overpower, and is rather pleasant. Pours a dark caramel color. Would definitely drink again, a winner!

4 oz. sampler at SO. Warm caramel malt smell thats also apparent in the taste. Slightly hazy brown body with a thin layer of sudsy foam. Earthy and a bit nutty, with an estery finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a lightly hazed, deep brown colored body with a finger-width, creamy and frothy, tan head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is lightly sweetened, biscuity toffee malts with some florals, toast, earth, and touches of apricots. Flavor is similar. Toasty and bready toffees with a light sweetness, florals, earth, and a touch of apricot towards the end. Finishes dry and moderately bitter before leaving a fairly lengthy aftertaste. Medium body and a moderately lively carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid ESB. Bitter and nicely toasted with a cool hint of apricot. Nice beer.

Draft at the Bad Apple. Brown pour with a thin head. Malty sweet aroma nutty with toffee. Strong and nice. Light sweetness clean dried fruits and malts. Toffee is strong in the flavor as well. Slightly sweet but well done.

Draft at Jerrys. Dark brown with fair, foamy, tan head / Mild nose of toast, coffee, and nut / Light body, a touch watery, dry, low fruit, modestly bitter / Dry flavors of chocolate, roast grain, nut, apricot, and dry hop / A light, possibly too light, brew, with a redeeming flavor profile, and very sessionable.
