What happened? Have enjoyed some of their other beers previously, but my god. After giving the beer more consideration it deserves above 1 but its not at all a fair representation of the style nor is it very palatable.

Draught from the brewery. Pours a reddish brown with a thin whispy off-white head. Nutty malty aroma with nuted floral hops. Flavor is balanced, dry with floral and malt sweetness. Mild lingering nutty bitterness. kaser (6314) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 16, 2013

Enjoyed this a lot. Had on draft at Maria’s Community Bar in Chicago. Very subtle notes of biscuit, bread, and dough, but balanced nicely with some earthy hops. Has a bitterness that doesn’t overpower, and is rather pleasant. Pours a dark caramel color. Would definitely drink again, a winner!

On tap at the brewery. Pours a lightly hazed, deep brown colored body with a finger-width, creamy and frothy, tan head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is lightly sweetened, biscuity toffee malts with some florals, toast, earth, and touches of apricots. Flavor is similar. Toasty and bready toffees with a light sweetness, florals, earth, and a touch of apricot towards the end. Finishes dry and moderately bitter before leaving a fairly lengthy aftertaste. Dark brown with fair, foamy, tan head / Mild nose of toast, coffee, and nut / Light body, a touch watery, dry, low fruit, modestly bitter / Dry flavors of chocolate, roast grain, nut, apricot, and dry hop / A light, possibly too light, brew, with a redeeming flavor profile, and very sessionable.
