This little gem is the spineless, and much more creepy, little brother of our FoBAB award-winning Radth featuring Oubliette with peaches aged in a French cabernet barrel.

Sampled at the brewery. Rating from notes. Pours a hazed orange with a foamy white head. Aroma of oak, peaches, cabernet, and mild grassy hop notes. Flavor is somewhat biter, resin and cabernet barrel, touches of acid, grapes, and peaches. Itís pretty interesting, Iíll give it that. Medium bodied, lively carbonation. Finishes with lots of oak barrel and peach. Interesting.

IT is a light golden ale with a pleasant fruitiness, slight tanginess to it, very refreshing.

Draft pour on tap at GTMW 2013 (Madison, WI). Pours a nice well hazed golden hue, a bit dulled, firm haziness with a frothy offwhite head that sticks around as a decent layer. Aromas are gentle peach, firm white wine, gentle tannic presence. Some honeysuckle, tangerine, and white peach. Initial is gentle fruit, yeastiness, and gentle spice. Firm barrel and white wine, diversity of fruit meets some dryness, yeast. A bit floral, herbal as we move on. Gentle sweetness, nice complexity. Some peach punch into the middle and backend. Dry, white oak, and some gentle tropical fruit and white grape. Finish is dry, cool, and fruity. Really neat Belgian, perfecy barrel exposure nice fruit presence without being overwhelming.

Strykzone (6860) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JUL 27, 2013
Sampled at Belgian Beer Fest. A golden pour that looked nice. A truly interesting aroma that had so much going on. Mintiness, oak, white wine, bret, andnice fruit. When tasted it seemed to try to do all the cool things in the aroma but could not quite. There was a lot happening but not everyone on the boat was rowing in the same direction. This was a fun beer and smelled so good.

Draft at Jerryís. Cloudy orange with good, foamy, white head, good lacing / Sharp nose of resin & young oak barrel, distilled peach, grape skin, grass, burnt orange, cheese / Light to medium body, acidic, hint of sweetness but mostly bitter, with good fruit balance / Stylish, lean flavors of peach brandy, grass, lemon, grape skin, orange rind, brie / An eccentric, but very successful brew. Truly one of the most interesting beers that I have tasted.
