Bottle. Deep mahogany hue lightening to burnt orange at the edges with one finger of khaki fuzz. Grainy aroma, with some walnuts, chlorophyll and spicy molasses. The flavor: molasses, grainy malt, burnt toast, soil. Light, watery body; mild fizziness. Too much huskiness in this one. Mears (74) - - DEC 6, 2014

Shared with Zach and Brandon, pours a dark brown color with a nice head. Nose is malt, toffee and caramel. Taste is also malt, and caramel with some hoppy flavor. Finish ends on the same tasting notes with more of a hoppy than sweet ending. Fair brown. Quaff Score 7 / 10 zgaier (1979) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - MAY 28, 2014

[Tap] Draft at the taproom. Very dark brown in color. Tan head. Milk chocolate, roasted malts and earthy hops in the aroma. Dark breads, anise, chocolate, astringent grain husks and piney hops in the taste. Good looking lacing. Lingering dry and bitter finish. Not bad.
