Draft at Bavarian Lodge, May 24. Bright, clear pilsener color, puffy foam head. Yet another big american hop nose, just slightly less that the uhf I had before this. Hops are the first thing on the tongue, but only for a few seconds. Then a mellow, spicy Belgian yeast and aromatic light malt sieves in. The next sip brings back that hop bomb once more. Plenty of nice foam lacing on the glass leaves no doubt about its Belgian heritage. Bitter hops still dominate over the yeast at the bottom of the glass.
Lightly clouded amber gold. Light white head. Pine resin, light floral notes, some citrus. Quite bitter, some lighter sweetness. Medium body, quite chewy. Quite a bit of acidity and carbonation. Medium long finish. Good.

Draft pour at Longman and Eagle. This is the type of beer that Solemn Oath does really well - a citrus focused, yeasty American-Belgian ale. Golden in color with minimal head and lacing. Lemon tang with a solid malt backbone. Goes great with food. drdisque (882) - Illinois, USA - DEC 12, 2014
On tap at Binny’s Lincoln Park tasting room. Pours clear medium amber. Flavor is a good balance of caramel malt and fruity citrusy acidity, all in a wet relatively flavorless water wrapper. Acceptable. Good for the style, but lacking a bit in the depth department. edwardbass (861) - Illinois, USA - FEB 22, 2014
Light body. Yellow color. Aroma of citrus and yeast. Taste is light malt and lemon with a pretty serious bitter aftertaste. Pleasant and easy drinking. Decent beer, even if not a style I’m really into. If you enjoy lemons, you’ll enjoy this beer (I enjoy lemons). Vir4030 (603) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 4, 2014
Clear yellowish thin whit head taster. Light lemon aroma. Smooth flav. But a bit bitter.

Sample at Hopleaf. This brew pours a slightly hazy golden color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, yeast and wheat. Medium body with flavors of fruity yeast, bready malt and peppery yeast. The finish is fruity with a citrus and yeast aftertaste. Above average overall. crossovert (13947) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 16, 2014
