Dark amber pour with a beige head. Aroma is caramel malt, spice, fruity hops. Taste is caramel malt upfront, hops/fruity, which balances it, then spicy caramel malt finish. A full turn around. Tasty and nice lacing. zgaier (1962) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - JAN 30, 2016
Bomber. Pours a hazy red brown with a beige head and aroma of malt and citrus. Taste is of malt, toasted caramel along with citrus and hops into the finish. jjgmd (2248) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - JAN 30, 2016
With Z, pours a dark maple red brown color with a big Java head. Nose is sweet heavy malt . Taste is sweet malt and toffee with some mild hops at the end. Finishes on the same sweet tasting notes with a moderately long mildly bitter ending ! Fair at best ! Quaff Score 6 / 10 Thechasm442 (1006) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 22, 2016
bomber poured in a tulip. It was marked down in a bottle shop with no visible date, so it may be a bit dated. Pour is a cloudy reddish brown with an inch or so of off white head that leaves decent lacing as it shrinks. Aroma is toffee, pine, caramel, and sweet biscuty malts. Taste is a malty up front and throughout. Some grapefruit, toffee, sweet caramel, and toast flavors are there too. Average mouthfeel and somewhat sticky. Older bottle or not, this is tasty. scarletfire65 (1507) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 30, 2015
Bottle at home. Gift from Rich. Aroma is piney and caramel. Full bodied. Piney, bitter hops. Decent balance. Pretty straightforward flavor profile. Not much complexity.

22oz bomber. Piney amber malt aroma. Doughy, bright body. Specialty malts all the way, but they work. Cherry malt tones. Pretty solid for the style. ryecatcher (1466) - Bridgeport, Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 15, 2015
UPDATED: SEP 25, 2015 Sampled at a beer event. Too much caramel, not fully attenuated, unbalanced. Uninspired. And If you’re drunk/retarded, I mean it’s fucking lame. Just another glorified home brew from the most overrated brewer in Windy City Distro’s wank-assed portfolio. It’s like they’re pussy-whipped on these guys. Seriously. Shit is fucking weak. jmagnus87 (3302) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - NOV 3, 2014
Bottle poured into my favorite rhinelander beer shaker. Pours a dark, hazy red with a half finger of khaki head. Aroma of caramel with citrus and slightly herbal hops. Taste is heavily bitter. Follows aroma with an emphasis on the hops. Medium bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and a super long, resinous finish. Very good. I would love to explore more from these guys. bierstein82 (13) - - OCT 27, 2014
It was highly carbed beer. Had a nice ruby hue to it. The aroma is lacking. Very malt forward with a light citrus resinous smell. The taste is malty with a faint bit of citrus. It finished with a burnt toast, alloy like taste. Displeasing mouthfeel, drying parched fell. Almost like having cotton mouth. brokensail (16645) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 12, 2014
Bottle @ home. Deep amber pour with a huge khaki head and great retention. Smells a lot like caramel and lemon peel. Some flowers and pine, I guess. Very perfumey. A lot of toffee as well. Flavor has a heavy dose of sweet, sugary malts. Big time toffee, butterscotch, and caramel. Some green apple, perfume, flowers, and lemon peel. A bit of lemon, orange, and grass. Meh.
