(Draught) Pours a hazy yellow body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of herbs, grass, banana, lemon zest, and earth. Flavor of mango, pineapple, citrus, grass, and apple with a dry finish.

Draft. Supremely boozy said on. I like its high-octane nature nonetheless. Solid brewskie.

Bottle, shared around the table at Revolution Brewpub. Very hazy pale yellow, thick lasting white head. Bright and lemony, yeasty, lightly spicy. I thought this was a great saison.

Draft on tap at the brewery (Naperville, IL). Pours a richer glowing hazy golden hue, some honey deeper darkness, haze, big cakey offwhite head cakes big, laces ok. Aromsa are gentle spice, yeast, and doughy sweetness. Apple, pear, gentle growing earthy hop bitterness. More spice, orange rind, and cereal elements, dough. Initial is medium bodied, preaching a lively white peach, apple, pear, lemon, grapefruit feel up front. Some spice, florals, and fuzzy peach. Middle grives more yeast, spice, doughy and cereal malts, bread. Dryness still remains on the palate, dough, apple, pear sweet fruit elements. Backend and finish remains a bit spicy, doughy, mellow cereal sweet. Tart fruit, orange, rind, spicy yeast, doughy sweet and bready malts keep on in finish, a firm hop load, lingers on a bit of tart, citrus, fruit, dough. Pretty solid, fruity, dry and bittter nice hop profile for how big it is. I liked this. Kinda in a similar wheelhouse to the FFF Zes Zes Zes offering that is also out.

Very fruity and bitter. Spicy and full flavor. Draft pour at Floyd's. Yellow cloudy with white foamy head. Sweet banana aroma. Like it a lot even for a saison. Kinda digging saisons these days and this helps build the case

22oz bottle from the brewery. Hazy unfiltered orange-yellow. Big, foamy white head. Says 8.3% on the bottle. This is pretty nice, exceeding my expectations. Kind of bridges the gap between massive Belgian Golden Ale and Saison. The yeast is restrained but still flavorful. Really balanced out well. My bottle is a 4-5 months old, so not sure how the hops have evolved. Very nice.

Fairly phenolic with booze and a bit of pear in the background. Dry with a bit of grain.

chinchill (4929) - South Carolina, USA - JAN 5, 2015
Large shared bottle pours golden with a fine head. The aroma is quite fruity. The flavor is too bitter for style. Medium carbonation and body. O: a rare saison in that the aroma is markedly better than the flavor.

tmoreau (4297) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - SEP 18, 2012
UPDATED: JUL 11, 2013 On tap at the annual CBS picnic and self served to clear plastic with a lightly hazed, orange/amber color, moussy, cream colored froth to the lingering head, and curtainy cling to the lacing. The aroma presented some dank grain pungency, moderate fruit & citrus, and some yeasty spice & pepper. The flavor contributed smooth malt, some sweetness, medium hop bitterness, a bit of acidity, and alcohol content that didn’t hide, resulting in a strong and dry finale. Started out questionable but ended up rather strong. Pun intended! Next time, on tap at Ellyn’s in Glen Ellyn, IL. Dispensed to a fluted snifter with a clear & bright, deep golden color. The hop bitterness was earthy, with some lingering quality to it, and followed by a bit of tartness. Again, the alcohol was definite and warming. +.1
