Straw color with little bubbles. Light yeast nose with sugars. Alcohol with confection sugar. Orange and pepper. nuplastikk (6652) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 11, 2014
22oz bottle from the brewery. Hazy unfiltered orange-yellow. Big, foamy white head. Says 8.3% on the bottle. This is pretty nice, exceeding my expectations. Kind of bridges the gap between massive Belgian Golden Ale and Saison. The yeast is restrained but still flavorful. Really balanced out well. My bottle is a 4-5 months old, so not sure how the hops have evolved. Very nice. pdx77 (1483) - Oregon, USA - MAY 10, 2013
On draught at Gigantic’s Chicagoland Beers event at Apex. Clear golden color. Light yeast and malt aroma. Golden grape, slight hop, great yeast profile. Finishes with a little spice. Treebs (872) - , Illinois, USA - OCT 20, 2012
Had tap at the Solemn Oat beer dinner at Wild Monk. Served in a pilsner-esque taster.
A: Pours a clear golden color with a thin whtie head forming on the pour. It recedes to a thin ring and it leaves some sticky lace down the glass.
S: Some light pear, stone fruit and yeast all show up in the nose. The yeast is slightly peppery and phenolic. Some light cracker malts are present as well to give it a litte edge.
T: The taste follows the nose. Nice stone fruit and pear flavors mixed with some spicy, peppery yeast. Lighter malts show up on the finish.
M: Light to medium bodied, this is definitely heftier than most other saisons. Nice medium carbonation level with dry, almost chalky finish.
O: I actually really enjoyed this. The 6 oz. pour I had was perfect and I’d definitely try this again.
Serving type: on-tap

this was a very pleasant surprise, pours hazy orange/yellow witha thing white head, smells of fruits pears along with some hop aroma and some funkyness. Taste is amazing, starts out a bit sweet fruit then moves on to a bit of tart and then something a bit funky

Bottle, shared around the table at Revolution Brewpub. Very hazy pale yellow, thick lasting white head. Bright and lemony, yeasty, lightly spicy. I thought this was a great saison. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - SEP 6, 2012
Draft on tap at the brewery (Naperville, IL). Pours a richer glowing hazy golden hue, some honey deeper darkness, haze, big cakey offwhite head cakes big, laces ok. Aromsa are gentle spice, yeast, and doughy sweetness. Apple, pear, gentle growing earthy hop bitterness. More spice, orange rind, and cereal elements, dough. Initial is medium bodied, preaching a lively white peach, apple, pear, lemon, grapefruit feel up front. Some spice, florals, and fuzzy peach. Middle grives more yeast, spice, doughy and cereal malts, bread. Dryness still remains on the palate, dough, apple, pear sweet fruit elements. Backend and finish remains a bit spicy, doughy, mellow cereal sweet. Tart fruit, orange, rind, spicy yeast, doughy sweet and bready malts keep on in finish, a firm hop load, lingers on a bit of tart, citrus, fruit, dough. Pretty solid, fruity, dry and bittter nice hop profile for how big it is. I liked this. Kinda in a similar wheelhouse to the FFF Zes Zes Zes offering that is also out. kseecs16 (1216) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - OCT 12, 2012
Draught at the brewery. Pours a dark orange amber with a thin creamy head. Not particularly funky with a little yeasty esther, more dry and earthy aroma. Flavor is dry, tart with little sourness. Finishes dry, nice crisp carbonation. Solid.
