3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazed, golden-orange colored body with an inch thick, dense and frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is fruity and somewhat spicy with a lightly sweetened, bready malt backing. Some citruses with a light tartness, Belgian yeast pepper, a light floral note, and a few melon fruits. Flavor is similar. Fruity with a somewhat spicy Belgian yeast up front before a lightly sweetened, bready malt backing comes in. A bit earthy with some pepper and melon before this finishes fairly fruity and lightly tart with some yeast spice and a moderate bitterness that dries this out with a light malt sweetness. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a moderately lively carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid saison. Fairly fruity with a nice, dry, somewhat spicy bitterness balanced with a firm, bready malt backing. I like the light tartness in the finish as well. Nice beer.
(Draught) Pours a hazy yellow body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of herbs, grass, banana, lemon zest, and earth. Flavor of mango, pineapple, citrus, grass, and apple with a dry finish. markducommun (1121) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 2, 2015
Cloudy hay, light white head. Spicy, estery, banana, cloves. Some honey. A good amount of bitterness. Some sweetness. Medium body, chewy, a bit of carbonation. Longer finish. Decent. chinchill (5069) - South Carolina, USA - JAN 5, 2015
Large shared bottle pours golden with a fine head.
The aroma is quite fruity.
The flavor is too bitter for style.
Medium carbonation and body.
O: a rare saison in that the aroma is markedly better than the flavor. nuplastikk (6311) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 11, 2014
22oz bottle from the brewery. Hazy unfiltered orange-yellow. Big, foamy white head. Says 8.3% on the bottle. This is pretty nice, exceeding my expectations. Kind of bridges the gap between massive Belgian Golden Ale and Saison. The yeast is restrained but still flavorful. Really balanced out well. My bottle is a 4-5 months old, so not sure how the hops have evolved. Very nice. DuffMan (10451) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 21, 2014
Bottle, shared around the table at Revolution Brewpub. Very hazy pale yellow, thick lasting white head. Bright and lemony, yeasty, lightly spicy. I thought this was a great saison.

Naperville, Illinois?!? Hey Dad. Hazy golden body with a thick, white head. Aromas of citrus, lemon grass, orange zest, bready yeast. Decent flavor. Not a funky saison, as I was hoping. Biscuit character with some soft fruity notes, perhaps white grape, apple, pear. Alcohol content is a bit prevalent. This was ok. kaser (6313) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 19, 2014
Very fruity and bitter. Spicy and full flavor. Draft pour at Floyd's. Yellow cloudy with white foamy head. Sweet banana aroma. Like it a lot even for a saison. Kinda digging saisons these days and this helps build the case novice101 (308) - - JUN 3, 2014
this was a very pleasant surprise, pours hazy orange/yellow witha thing white head, smells of fruits pears along with some hop aroma and some funkyness. Taste is amazing, starts out a bit sweet fruit then moves on to a bit of tart and then something a bit funky whitehotg8 (85) - Illinois, USA - APR 19, 2014
22 oz bomber into a Sam Adams glass. Very pleasant golden hue with a nice white head and quite bubbly. Aroma is fruity, sweet and slightly skunky, but in a good way. Upon taste I get the saison yeastiness with fresh fruits and malt/corn foundation, but mostly a very light foundation. Hops are present and welcome. A solid Saison from a damn good brewery; thanks SO! HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - APR 11, 2014
22 oz. bomber. Pours a hazed golden color with a medium, fading white head. Aroma of bread dough, citrus, mild lemon, some earth and hay notes. Flavor is quite hoppy and bitter, mild earth, some fruit and doughy malts. Fairly hop forward for a saison. Medium bodied, effervescent carbonation, finishes dry and bitter. This is nice.
