Draft at Jerry’s. Hazy yellow with good, foamy, white head, some legs / Full nose of banana, citrus, spice, bread / Medium body, creamy, moderately sweetness but high hop balance and some astringency, and good, bitter finish / Flavors of banana, pineapple, lemon, straw, biscuit, clove, coriander / A bigger (hefe) style, amply balanced by big hops. New beer on at Solemn Oath. Picked up a growler today. Served in a Hacker-Pschorr Weisse glass.
A: Pours a very hazy golden straw color with some darker hues in the body and towards the head. A thick and frothy two finger sized head forms on the pour. As it recedes a sticky webbing of lace is left down the whole glass.
S: Great yeast presence fills the nostrils. Light spicy pepper corn, some fruity esters and a little banana are all present. Grassy and citrus-like hops aromas are pulled out towards the back end of each sniff. Pretty good stuff and nicely balanced. Light lemon grass and wheat are present as well.
T: Yeast presence is up front and that’s followed by a solid cracked wheat. Some bubblegum and spice with a hint of banana. The light citrus flavors pop up towards the back end.
M: Medium bodied with a medium to low carbonation. The growler released quite a bit gas on the way home (audible hissing) and it seemed to hurt the beer here. The finish is drying with light fruity esters sticking around the palate. Would have been close to a perfect 5 otherwise.
O: Very solid hefe. The addition of the cascade hops really added a nice little pop on the finish once the yeast flavors started to subside. On a nice hot day this just what I needed. Would like to revisit straight from the tap as to have the proper carbonation.

Growler from the brewery. Pours a hazy reddish orange. Aroma of strong citrus hops, mangoes, peaches, and bubblegum. I get a touch of sunny delight, a bit of orange juice, some mild clove and hefe yeast. Flavor is bitter and hoppy, with a strong citrus hop rush couples with fruity and yeasty undertones. This reminds me a bit of New Glarus’ Imperial Weizen, but lower on the ABV. Medium bodied, finishes long and hoppy, nice spritzy carbonation. A great summer beer. This is on par with the best hoppy wheats around. Finishes fruity and refreshing. madvike (3264) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 26, 2012
On tap at the Haymarket booth at GTMW - Pours hazy light amber with a thin white head. Nose is grassy, juicy citrus hops over a banana wheat base. Light mineral taste, with banana and a touch of tropical fruit. Not s ton of hops. Medium-bodied with nice full carbonation. Very good stuff!

Not a bad beer. Nice banan notes, it is light and refreshing, a good biergarten beer. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JUL 8, 2012
Draft on tap at the brewery (Naperville, IL). 2nd new offering of the day. Pours a rich hazy dulled yellow gold hue. Touches of washed out orange with a deep murky golden dulled hue. A frothy offwhite almost eggshell white head sits atop, dies to a film and laces ok. Sticks around as a firm film. Aromas are a clash of fruity esters and cloves mixing with a rich floral and citrusy hopping. Apple, banana, and pear with spicy cloves meet bready malts, wheat, and a firm lemony hopping, florals, and grass. Bitter fresh hop nose starts to take over. Touches of grapefruit, citrus rind and oils, and zest. Bready malts, fruity esters, dry earthy hops. Initial is medium bodied offering some dank earthy hops up front paired into bready malts, lemons, and touches of banana and pear. Touches of spice, dry earthy hops, gentle clove and a richer citrusy middle start to take over, grapefruit juice, zest. Middle and backend really grow on me, with flavors growing, good balance especially interesting into middle and finish which really win me over and the hops really start to take over. Nose is ok, front end is a bit yeasty and Hefe driven as the hops take over into the middle and backend, that note of straight grapefruit juice is really enjoyable. Overall, a solid beer that gives some life into the middle and backend for hop heads. More Hefe driven than I expected. Headbanger (3999) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - AUG 10, 2012
4oz sample at brewery 8/10/12-Pours hazy yellowish golden with small white ring for head. Aroma of banana, cloves, and spices. Taste of the same with some hops. This light bodied brew is well balanced and goes down easy. Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - OCT 30, 2012
On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy, orange-gold colored body with an inch thick, dense, creamy and frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is strong citrus hops mixed with a good amount of banana, some clove, and a grainy wheat backing. Lots of floral grapefruits with some tangerines, lemons, a light earth, and some grass. Flavor is similar. Bitter citruses mixed with a good amount of yeast and esters giving off some banana and light clove notes. Somewhat grainy and bready wheat malts with a good amount of florals before this finishes earthy, dry, and moderately bitter with a light spice, crackery wheat, and a good amount of citruses. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a solid hopped up wheat. Citrusy, bitter hops that mix with a nice hefe base. Good beer. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 10, 2012
On tap at the source... Pours a hazy fairly bright, hazy golden hue and topped with a frothy soapy white head... Aroma of footy grains to pair alongside citrusy notes of orange and tangerine... Flavors are more of the same, less footy, with emphasis on the orangey citrus. Light grain on the backend with barely a trace of bitterness although a little comes through in the finish. Lighter than medium bodied with lighter than a stage carbonation .
