2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Poured a clear light amber with minimal head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt. Medium buttery body, flavour as the aroma. Forgettable.
Well as is often the case in the communist utopia of Venezuela run by an idiot bus driver, I went looking for beer and could not find the regular or light Soleras, Polar, or Regional. Marzen, what the heck, it is only January and the beer was about 15 cents at the black market exchange rate. OK so let’s get down to this beer. Just 4% alcohol, color to let me know its not Solera blue or green, kind of a typical Solera taste ... Bud light. It wouldn’t surprise me if Polar used AB yeast. This is not a terrible beer, it is clean, well made, think communist BudLight. Still, it had little going for it. Differing from Solera azul or verde, this has sugar as an ingredient after adjuncts (cereal grains). I wonder if that is just sugar derived coloring. Anyhow, best thing about this is the price at the black market exchange rate. Zer0 (1226) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - JUL 12, 2013
Bottle. Pours clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is metallic and dusty. Light body with medium carbonation. jmgreenuk (10006) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - FEB 18, 2013
Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a clear medium brown with a broken white head. The aroma is rather skunky and not pleasant at all. The flavour is weak bitter and a little malty, but there isn’t much else there I’m afraid. Ugh. kermis (14566) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - FEB 18, 2013
Bottle shared from Deanso. Pours clear amber with an off white head. Aroma of light hops and grain, a little astringent. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and light bitter. Light bodied with soft carbonation.

33cl bottle from a friend, shared.
Thick white head. Clear amber pour. Nice enough brew. garza (574) - Oslo (NO), Caracas (VE), VENEZUELA - FEB 3, 2013
Pours a dark copper look with a foamy beige head. Malty nose with some grass hints. Sweet and malty taste that gets watery almost inmediatly. Light body, thin feel, average carbonation and a short finish. Or what it is, water with malt flavor. Lame intent to make a better beer from the macro Polar (they could make it better but their minds are too dull and obtuse). Bad beer. Izio (86) - GERMANY - DEC 25, 2012
Long lasting white foam (it colapsed in a very irregular way). Good carbonation. Aroma: hops, caramel. Taste: roasted malt, caramel. Hop is a bit astringent. Dark red color. Bottle from supermarket. mahernandez83 (1) - VENEZUELA - NOV 11, 2012 does not count
Buen sabor, buen color, buena espuma; algo de malta y tostado. En lo personal, tal vez solo le falta subir un poco la graduación de alcohol. Recomendada.
