(En fût à la brasserie): Mélasse, noix de coco et chocolat noir dans une forte et relativement riche structure malté qui se termine en sécheresse adéquate. arminjewell (9689) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - APR 12, 2015
Pour on tap at the brewery, dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of dark chocolate, acidic malt, some coffee into a bit of grass, some slight fruity notes as well. Taste was a mix of caramel, dark chocolate, hints of vanilla into some acidic malt, roast, touch of coffee, finishing fairly bitter.

Black in color with a small khaki head. Nose opens with roasted malt, coffee, and a slight smokiness. A weird prune aroma and some acidity. A bit of alcohol, too. Tastes of roast, ash, and char. Somewhat smokey, a decent of coffee, dark chocolate, and prunes. Kind of alcoholic and astringent, too. saxo (18959) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUL 15, 2012
Tap @ the brewcompany as "Odin’s Stout" 7.0% abv. Nice head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich licorice roast malt, chocolate and coffee. Nice dry finish. LtDan (1806) - Los Angeles County, California, USA - JAN 26, 2011
Appearance: Pours a dark, reddish brown with a creamy tan film of head.
Aroma: Chocolaty roast and grassy hops.
Taste: Dry chocolaty roast, spicy hops and toasted grain.
Mouthfeel: Very thin, medium carbonation.
Overall: Nothing at all like a 7.3% Oatmeal Stout, but rather a dry irish stout. The best beer Solvang makes.
