COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Das dunkle Bier mit dem malzigen Charakter. So typisch wie Bayern: urig und süffig, nicht nur bei Raubrittern begehrt.

0,5 l bottle from kappldav123. Thanks a lot! A dark redbrown in the glass, small light tanned head. Sweet malt on the nose. Starts more with a soft roasted malt. A little bit dry. Later a low citrus sweetness. Thin body. Easy to drink but nothing special.

Aroma is roasted with nuts and some chocolate. Flavour is malty with nuts, some chocolate and hints of coffee. A flawless dunkel.

Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - AUG 11, 2011
It’s dark-brown with a creamy head, and the aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel and light metal. The flavour is sweet with notes of roasted malt, caramel, dry straw/citrus in the finish. The overall-impression is a bit watery and boring.

Koelschtrinker (21318) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 7, 2011
Test vom 23.5.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,5,6,4,8,4 - 4,95

Ungstrup (38243) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 17, 2009
Bottled. A dark amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as light notes of bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and metal from the hops - not just my hop, but also with light notes of toffee, leading to a dry, metallic, and bitter finish.

Clear medium brown amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, rubber notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20081004]

50 cL bottle, courtesy of Papsoe/Ungstrup. Pours dark golden amber to brown, almost clear, and with a diminished off-white head. Mild malty and slight roasted aroma. Light fruity and breadish flavoured. Mild bitterness showing through providing light acidity to the breadish flavours. Ends medium dry and bitter.
