August 2017 - Cask handpull at GBBF 2017, Kensington Olympia. As 'Sonnet 43 I Shall But Love'. Opaque black with a foamy brown head. Aroma has lots of dark chocolate, chocolate syrup, cocoa nibs etc. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is coconut up front, more chocolate notes, a little ashy. Tasty. (7-4-7-4-15=3.7)

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Hazy dark brown beer, small tan head. Palate is light and semi dry, modest carbonation. Decent dark chocolate malts. Touch of roast bitterness. Chocolate gets tangy alongside some dark fruits. Light dry finish. Tasty but no real coconut here for me.

gegwilson (3837) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - SEP 29, 2016
Cask in the Golden Smog, Stockton. Black with a frothy beige head. Sweet chocolate and coconut aroma. The taste has chococlate, coffee and light spice before a nice coconut finish with just a touch of liquorice. A real surprise. Outstanding.
