Pours a clear golden copper on tap with bubbly white head that leaves light lace. Aroma is malty sweetness and lager yeast. Taste follows, malty and easy, goes well with the food. Could be worse, definitely the best beer there. Aurelius (5335) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 21, 2013
One word: malty. I get a craving for Sonny’s every now and again, even though it isn’t the most distinctive BBQ in the world. This brew is a good compliment to their food, as it’s meant to be. It’s also the best thing they’ve got on tap. Aroma is nutty malt. Flavor is sweet with low hoppiness, and a little woody, but dominated by toffee/caramel malt. Mouthy, but not too chewy. Quick, sweet, woody finish. Capital Circle SE. mlunger12 (645) - Orlando, Florida, USA - FEB 4, 2013
On tap at Sonny’s BBQ on 436. Common amber lager, despite being called an "ale". Actually pretty full flavored, very malty with some nice sweetness through the body. No hops to speak of. It at least tastes like an all-malt, even though it likely isn’t.
