UPDATED: APR 2, 2003 A light amber color. Good hop nose and taste, with a slight citris in both. A very good pale ale. Very drinkable. Re-rate. Cask conditioned version. Still very good!!! Brodie (540) - Boone, North Carolina, USA - FEB 11, 2003
Citrusy hop aroma. Pale amber color, poor head retention. Sweet malt up front in the flavor, followed by citrusy hops, and a crisp, evenly balanced finish. A very refreshing and well-balanced APA. TheTsunami (162) - Arizona, USA - JAN 25, 2003
Not a bad pale. Citrusy nose. Clean palate. Noticeable grapefruit flavor at the end. ultraspank (867) - Alverca, Lisboa, PORTUGAL - JAN 6, 2003
Had this on tap at the J.W. Marriot’s Meritage Steakhouse in Phoenix. Nose of detergent, citrus and spruce. This brew is a sparkling honey amber. The white frothy head is mostly lasting with good lacing. The flavor starts sweet and malty. The finish is slighty acidic and moderately bitter, nice complexity and balance. The light to medium body is dry and lively and feels astringent at the finish. Braudog (6719) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - DEC 1, 2002
Pure copper color with large airy head. Sharply citric with mellow finish.

Pretty darn good Pale. Nice hop and malt character. Easy drinking. I like it better than SNPA since thats the one everyone seems to compare to these days for some reason. herbjones (742) - Orange, California, USA - NOV 7, 2002
Pours the color of clover honey with a thick white head. Big floral hop nose. Nice malt/hop balance with the hops coming through at the finish. Very nice brew, reminds me of Firestone Walker.A little thin in the palate but still a very nice drinker. papajohn (1250) - San Diego (Mira Mesa), California, USA - SEP 2, 2002
UPDATED: MAY 9, 2003 Amber color with a big white head. A malty sweet start and a tangy hop finish. Did I detect apricots? A quite quaffable APA. Schroppfy (2360) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - JUN 25, 2002
Impressive but a bit weird. Has a tangy malt (and/or?) hop presence that I haven’t really encountered before. But it works. A fine APA. Gusler (2653) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - MAY 27, 2002
Re-Rate 05/27/02: Clear amber with a nice white head and decent lace. Nose is malt, slight hop floral tones noted. Front sweet, top light, finish loaded with with hops, dry, crisp, and a very drinkable beer.
