COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A superb example of an American Pale Ale. The Cascade hop flavor just explodes in your mouth. Combined with the clean malt character and smooth finish, you are left utterly wanting another when your glass is empty.

Reviewed 12/21/2008 (bottle): Pours a very clear filtered amber color body. Small white head. Piney, hoppy aroma, but some sweet hoppiness too. Some alcohol in the nose too. Thin body, dusty bitter chocolate taste. Some hoppiness but mostly bitter. A little sweetness. Somewhat clean aftertaste. Some nuttiness as it warms.

Nothing like that first sip of a west coast american pale ale to just put you right at ease when you get home. The aroma is very pleasant with hops just attacking your nose...floral and some citrus/orange. The pour is decent with orange and amber and a tiny white head being apparent. Some definite carbonation, but not overwhelming. The flavor is full with malty back bone and a nice hop filled bitter dry ending. Some syrupy malt and orange in this beer...very rough drinking for a typical pale ale...but not necessarily a bad thing. Enjoyable...thanks for the beer mitch.

On Tap at brewery; nice bright citrusy nose, beautiful fresh hops all the way; not much malt charactor, but the combination of hops here is very nice, seems like more than just Casacades. Lingering finish that isn’t harsh. Good.

On tap at Pizza Port Real Ale Festival. Clear gold, almost no head at all. Seemed a bit flat, not much going on in the flavor dept here.

This belongs to Brewer’s Den, Sonora Brewing. The description listed 4.8%. Rich amber color with aromas of hops and pine. With a smooth, even palate, this should not disappoint hop-heads.

Pours the color of clover honey with a thick white head. Big floral hop nose. Nice malt/hop balance with the hops coming through at the finish. Very nice brew, reminds me of Firestone Walker.A little thin in the palate but still a very nice drinker.

aobecksy (700) - Middle of no where, Ohio, USA - MAY 29, 2003
Noce head and decent lacing, orange in color, with notable cloudiness. Grapefruit peppery flavor a little overwhelming, but decent drink none-the-less.

smcolw (617) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - MAY 9, 2009
Clear light amber appearance. Thin head of foam that leaves a very light lace. The aroma is decent: the malt and hop are well balanced, nice bouquet, probably dry hopped. A higher level of oily-alcohol than expected. The malt dies quickly on the initial taste then the hop starts soft and builds to the predominant flavor in the aftertaste. Astringent and dry, this is a tasty beer but not very complex. The flavors are fairly two dimensional.

Steib (613) - Queen Creek, Arizona, USA - JUL 7, 2003
Citrus, woody aroma. Cloudy copper color. Starts out sweet a little tart. Just the right amount of hops, not too bitter. Aftertaste has hints of grapefuit and pine. Smooth in the finish not too agressive. A very drinkable beer.

Citrusy hop aroma. Pale amber color, poor head retention. Sweet malt up front in the flavor, followed by citrusy hops, and a crisp, evenly balanced finish. A very refreshing and well-balanced APA.
