Bottle courtesy of rustychiles. Pours copper with a nice white sustained head. Smells of perfume, citrus, dough, pine resin, caramel. Tastes of pepper, resin, mildly bitter. riversideAK (6260) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - APR 7, 2010
Earthy hop nose - a little floral and woody with a hint of citrus. Biscuity malts and caramel. Pours golden amber with a fizzy head that leaves rather quickly. Woody earthy hop notes dominate as does a hint of caramel sweetness and a light dry malt character as well. Well carbonated, if not a little too much for me. Dry lingering earthy hop presence. nuplastikk (6224) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 9, 2011
22oz bottle. Hazy orange-brown color. Massive foamy head. Resiny orange hop aroma, quite nice. Lemony, and a little thin bodied for the style. Fresh and zesty, but that’s all it really has going on. The malt profile is too thin to really accommodate or balance the hops. Grassy mouthfeel. A pretty awkward West Coast version of the style.

Clear copper coloured body with an orange highlight and a dense off-white head. Aroma of pure cascade hops with some malt, and a bit of a citrus twist. Medium-bodied; Nice lemoney flavour with some assertive hops. Aftertaste clean and fresh from the massive cascade hops. Almost an IPA, but a damn good refreshing APA! I got this twelve ounce bottle in a trade (Secret Santa) from bunkypop and sampled it on 26-May-2004. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 13, 2012
(22oz bottle thanks to bu11zeye) clear light gold, lasting thick offwhite bubbles. Nose of artificial sweetener, saccharin, very sweet, sweaty. Taste Of sour?, tart fruit, weird, fairly sweet, Sugary. Well carbonated and odd. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Yellow-orange pour with a white head. The aroma and flavor have a lot of orange citrus and toffee notes, with the addition of some grass in the flavor. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. JK (6095) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - JAN 15, 2009
Very thin, disappointing palate. Light gold color, with a rocky head. Very thin beer. Some hop flavor, but this is very simple and there is not much too it. It lacks flavor and palate. Thanks to Skyview for letting me try it anyway. Skyview (5942) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JAN 22, 2009
Sampled from 22-oz bomber and shared by tytoanderso. Pours a clear copper pale brew with a thick and rocky off-white head. Aroma of golden grain malt, some Munich malt, fruity, with a touch of pineapple and citrus. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of multi-grain malt, pineapple and some mild citrus. Finish is semi-sweet with an near IPA caliper bitterness that lingers after the finish.
