Cask at Papago. Aroma of this beer was more like an Ipa. Real good floral and fruit aromas. Amber body with white head and lacing that left a blanket of lacing on the glass. Good citrus flavor. Smooth on the palate. An enjoyable beer. jimhilt (2610) - Bow, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 17, 2004
Pours with a white three-fingered head, fades slowly and leaves a good lace. Medium carbonation and body. Orange-amber color, not completely clear. Very citrusy hoppy nose. Starts slightly sweet but hoppy and finishes citrusy with a bite. Surprisingly good flavor after being frozen solid.

1 litre flip top via bonus in a trade with footy! Thanks! Rudy! Pours amber with a large offwhite head and a beautiful aroma of mostly grapefruit, orange, and some caramel. Flavor is orange, caramel, and a little pine. Pretty well balanced or at least as much as it could be... Lots of carbonation in this one but it was pretty tasty overall. Impressive but a bit weird. Has a tangy malt (and/or?) hop presence that I haven’t really encountered before. But it works. A fine APA. legion242 (2348) - Richardson, Texas, USA - APR 24, 2002
Pale orange/yellow color; Head was average with nice lace; Nose was heavy on the citrus- orange, grapefruit and floral. Citrus dominates the flavors. Nice tartness through out the center of the tongue. The spiciness emerges at the 1/2 mark. A highly drinkable beer of a style I don’t normally get enamored with.

330mL bottle. golden, translucent. bread-like frothy white head slowly diminishes leaving a nice lace. citrusy hoppy aroma is phenomenal: sour apples, grapefruit. Flavour is intense, the hops are perfect. This is a fantastic APA that I wish I could get more of. Sparky (2244) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - NOV 17, 2008
Bomber. Pours a clear dark gold with some floaters and a half finger white head and spotty lacing. Nose is floral hops for the most part. Taste is malt, biscuits and earthy hops with some tart grapefruit in the finish. Lighter mouth feel. Pretty good pale. I liked it better than their IPA. boto (2214) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - FEB 14, 2003
UPDATED: APR 2, 2003 A light amber color. Good hop nose and taste, with a slight citris in both. A very good pale ale. Very drinkable. Re-rate. Cask conditioned version. Still very good!!! dcschiller (2208) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAY 28, 2010
(22 oz bottle). Pours almost all head just like the IPA did. Copper color with ridiculous off-white chunky head. Aroma of orange, resin, spruce. Sour is most prominent-almost no hops. WTF? This can’t really be the way their Pale Ale tastes. It tates like a belgian sour. Very disappointing. Either this brewery has problems with their bottling (2/2 times I’m pouring out their beers) or they are loose with their beer styles. Either way, I’m not a fan. mkobes (2142) - paramus, New Jersey, USA - JAN 31, 2004
Citrusy aroma. Pours yellow in color. Hoppy flavor. Full bodied beer. Pretty good.
