Golden pour with a thin white head. Some bubble gum and hops on the nose. Sweet fruits in flavor (pineapple) and a bit of sweetness countered by citrus. Thanks to Skyview. Skyview (6093) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JAN 22, 2009
Sampled from 22-oz bomber and shared by tytoanderso. Pours a clear copper pale brew with a thick and rocky off-white head. Aroma of golden grain malt, some Munich malt, fruity, with a touch of pineapple and citrus. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of multi-grain malt, pineapple and some mild citrus. Finish is semi-sweet with an near IPA caliper bitterness that lingers after the finish. madsberg (11775) - Søborg, DENMARK - FEB 19, 2011
Bottled. Tasted blind @ yesprs. Golden coloured. Unclear. Fluffy beige head. Aroma of sterin, spice, light fruits, flowers, vague caramel. Flavour of soap, caramel, herbs, flowers, yeast, grape. Medium bodied. Grapy and herbal bitterness in the end. Thx santa for this. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - MAY 16, 2011
Bottle; poured a slightly murky, ruddy amber-gold color with a small to medium off white head. Aroma of citrus, spice, buttered toasted, fruit and earth. Flavor had a earthy, spicy and fruity base. A bit unexpected, but can see the cascade influence. Solid for the style. DrunkAsASkunk (847) - Lynnwood, Washington, USA - MAY 22, 2003
Nothing like that first sip of a west coast american pale ale to just put you right at ease when you get home. The aroma is very pleasant with hops just attacking your nose...floral and some citrus/orange. The pour is decent with orange and amber and a tiny white head being apparent. Some definite carbonation, but not overwhelming. The flavor is full with malty back bone and a nice hop filled bitter dry ending. Some syrupy malt and orange in this beer...very rough drinking for a typical pale ale...but not necessarily a bad thing. Enjoyable...thanks for the beer mitch.

Citrusy and lightly floral aroma, some tangerine and grapefruit, along with a touch of lightly toasty malt sweetness. Medium golden color, slightly hazy, with a creamy, settling head. Malty, sweet caramel and a bit of flowery perfume up front, followed by a blend of fruity, citric hop flavors. Light-medium bodied, palate is a little bubbly. Nice hoppy aftertaste. dberger624 (1028) - Voorhees, New Jersey, USA - MAR 19, 2004
Bottled. Not a bad beer. Had a slight bitter taste up front that mellowed into a west coast pale ale. JonR888710 (999) - Cochabamba, BOLIVIA - MAY 26, 2004
Cloudy copper-orange color. Tremendous, variously sized bubbled head. Smell is sweet hops: sugar, pineneedles, pineapple and apricot. Consistency is thin to medium. Very watery taste that is very mild because of the apricots, similar to what happens if you’ve ever had apricot tea. Still, some pineapple and pineneedle hops are detectable and quite flavorful. Ending is dry, bitter and fruity. BOLTZ7555 (3027) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - APR 16, 2008
So this is a different beer than I remember...and I don’t think it is just because it was on cask @ Papago. Missing the underlying sweetness that gave this one tremendous balance. Aroma displays hop bitterness. Color was light 10k gold with small flashes of amber. Flavor is much more sour. Where are the malts...toffee, caramel, brown sugar, and molasses to balance this beer out??? emacgee (4704) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - FEB 8, 2009
Thanks hellbilly. Poured a cloudy amber with a creamy white head. The nose was piney, citrusy, mildly sweet, nice balance between the hop and malt but subdued overall. The flavor is piney, mild sweetness from the malt, reasonable amount of bitterness, shows some age and oxidiation.
