This was NOT bad at all. It reminded me a lot of a paler version of Brasserie Bourganel Biere au Nougat. Clean, caramel/chocolate notes, restrained sweetness, and a fairly dry finish. It was enjoyable in small doses.

On tap: The aroma consists of moderate-heavy cocoa powder and light vanilla...maybe a touch of grass. It?s a transparent dull gold with a small white head that eventually fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. There is some spotty lacing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of wheat. The finish has light-moderate sweet cocoa powder and vanilla. It?s light bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, it?s probably a good thing I got a 4oz sample. I like chocolate, but straight cocoa powder generally wears on me quickly.

Golden in color with a bit of white head. Slight chocolatey aroma, definitive white chocolate flavor. Quite interesting, and surprisingly chocolatey flavor that goes decently with the beer.

12 oz. bottle from Total Wine in Phoenix. Pours a clear gold color with a white head. Notes of chocolate, vanilla, and pale malts. Sweet and sugary. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a malty mouthfeel. Im told this is very popular out here. I liked the first few sips but got sick of it quickly. Wouldnt recommend more than a taster.

On tap @ The State Bar. Clear golden pour with white foam. Some chocolate, vanilla extract, and a whole lot of sugar. Like, woah. Super sweet and malty. Flavor is like a prepackaged chocolate milk with a bunch of extra sugar and some vanilla. Tons of sweetness to this. Almost undrinkable to me with how sweet it is. No thanks.

Serving: from bottle. Aroma: moderate chocolate and light raspberry(?). Appearance: small, frothy, white, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, medium-yellow body. Taste: moderate cocoa initial flavor and lightly acidic finish with short duration. Palate: light body, creamy texture and soft carbonation. Overall: very chocolatey

Unclear pale yellow with a quickly dissipating bubbly head. Eyes deceive the nose. Does not smell like it looks. Theres some grain and pale lager aroma beneath apparent chocolate. Chocolate milk. Vanilla. Flavor follows, which is unexpected. Too crisp and too much prickly carbonation. Bigger light body. Even if its all on purpose, this is an odd confusing experience.

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2014 Pours amber with fast dissipating head. Little aroma even though I let it warm up. Mostly flavorless with a small hint of chocolate. Very watery. Don?t waste your money on trying this one.

Bottle, thanks to _Angst_, split at Colin and the Vikings tasting, Nol, Goteborg, Sweden 22/03/14 as Sonoran White Chocolate Ale. Hazed orange with a moderate off white covering. Nose is bitter fruits, spie, citric peel, straw. Taste comprises pale malts, citrus, pretty bland, lemon rind, grassy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Very mediocre stuff no subtle taste of white chocolate, tased like an astonishingly average pale lager !!!
