Aroma: The nose is sweet and malty, white chocolate is very present here
Appearance: It pours a cloudy golden color with a pretty decent sized white head on it
Flavor: The taste is sweet and chocolaty, without enough balance to it
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has a soft carbonation, and a smooth, creamy finish
I thought this was a nice beer, but it was too sweet for me. Well-made though. No complaints, I’m just not the target market.
draft, this is weird. Chocolate flavors in a pale ale that was light. Interesting for sure. IPagan5 (106) - San Marcos, California, USA - MAR 24, 2015
Different for sure, I think stone is doing something like this, golden pour chocolate aroma, may be I haven’t got the connection. Couldn’t drink more than 8 oz...may be for someone else who has a more in tuned palate for this style. Errl (2442) - Plano, Texas, USA - AUG 5, 2015
Bottle..pour is golden with a white head..Nose is vanilla, salt water taffy, white chocolate..Tatse is light, sweetness, stale, spice, orange white chocolate.. Braudog (6804) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - OCT 10, 2015
Bottle. Wow. This would throw a lot of people for a loop in a blind taster. Golden and hazy, with the visuals of a witbier, the chocolate syrup flavor profile comes off completely unexpectedly if it weren’t for the name and deScription. Tastes like a s’more. (#6044, 10/10/2015)

65 cl bottle. BBE 25.06.2016.mcberko (18583) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 26, 2016
Pours hazy golden color with a small head. Lots of white chocolate on the nose, mild hops, malty notes, earthy. Bitter malt on the flavor, white chocolate, spice notes and faint wood. Quite mellow flavor compared to the nice aroma.
On tap at Phoenix Ale Brewery, pours a cloudy golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out pure white chocolate upfront, not much else. Flavour is along the same lines, with semi-sweet white chocolate notes and a subtle soft pillow wheat base. Nice gimmick beer - works pretty well. hopscotch (11182) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 22, 2008
Bottle… Backus’s Backdoor Bash ‘08... Murky off-white ale. Lightly acidic, buttery nose provides additional notations of white chocolate and vanilla. Light to medium-bodied with lazy carbonation. The flavor offers a nice tart snap to go along with notes of vanilla, cocoa butter and white chocolate. Tart, tangy finish. Strange brew. On tap at Boulders. Pours a hazy golden color with a trim white head. Smells and tastes of white chocolate, vanilla yogurt, and pear. More of a novelty than a balanced beer, but certainly worth a try. turbo (1271) - Arizona, USA - MAY 7, 2009
Cloudy gold with a decent white head.
Aroma and flavor of bitter fruits and citrus and a bit watery.
not a bad beer but I expected alot more and whoever says they taste white chocolate is nuts.
I’ll keep the bottle though...almost the best part of the package.
