Clear amber beer, big fluffy pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and light and dry, mild fine carbonation. Sourish generic tangy fruits, touch of basil .Tangy airy finish. One dimensional and probably infected.
22 oz. bottle shared by DrSilverworm. Pours a clear dark amber color with a small white head. The aroma has herbal notes,grass, pale malts and a mild nutty presence, but it is lessened by the diacetyl and hints of vegetables. 22oz bottle, thanks to MikedR. Shared with the group. Clear red / orange, lightly brown color. Somewhat bubbly, but good, thin off-white head. Few dots of lace. Nice, interesting, complex fruity nose. Really unique. Had to check the label to figure out what I was smelling. Chestnuts and orange-peel, I see that. Definite cranberry, some good honey and nuttiness. Light-to-medium body. Good smooth carbonation, though kind of light. Very creamy texture. Bomber to snifter (thanks DrSilverworm). Looks solid; a semi-transparent orange with white lacing. Smells sweet, but strange; definitely a honey presence though. Poured from a 22 ounce bottle. Semi hazy copper color with a huge white head of foam. The aroma is sweet malty. Taste is tart. Probably infected, but it not offensive.

OK, the reviews thus far don’t look promising for what I have in front of me here. The 22oz bomber pours clear amber with a decent tan head of foam. The aroma unloads caramel, butterscotch, nuttiness and an astringent smelling sort of walnut skin like sensation. The taste has a dash of roasted malts and then it picks up tart roasted malt like astringent notes and a bit of cherry like esteriness. Behind those notes is a mix of caramel malts and butterscotch. On draught at OHSO. Pours brown with a tan head. Aroma is butter and taste is buttery. This is a real shame since the chef series has been pretty good so far. This isn’t the first time that I’ve had an infected beer from Sonoran. Seems like they still haven’t figured out the QC issues yet. Best of the Chef's series so far. Nutty, honey aroma. Interestingly tart flavor. Definitely an unusual brown ale!
