Embrouille (2853) - SWITZERLAND - MAY 4, 2013
UPDATED: MAY 6, 2013 On draught. Remarkably pale appearance. Buttery (diacetyl?) nose. Low bitterness. Medium bodied. Mediocre malt profile. Unmemorable finish (residual sugars). Poor.

Drink at Sophie's Brauhaus in Stuttgart. Looks very good. Taste very much smooth. Great dark beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark cola body, small beige head. Aroma is caramel, cherry. Taste is sweet, malty (caramel). Dry bitter finish

pivnizub (10616) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - OCT 30, 2012
On tap: Deep ruby-amber coloured with a small and stable tanned head, presumably clear, mild to moderate sweetish-roasty nose with a dark-malty bitterness underneath; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; subdued chocolatey traces in the sweetish malty finish. Incredible: a good and tasty and clean beer from a modern german Hausbrauerei…

Draft at the source. Murky brown color, small tan head. Aroma of dark toast. Taste is cocoa powder and brown bread.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is fruity, dark malty and again slight butterish. Sweet, caramelish, toffee, breadish and mild fruity. Bitter and roasted malty finish.

Malzig-metallerner Nachgeschmack. Test vom 25.6.2007, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 10,5,6,5,-,5 - 5,68

3.6
Bierkrug (2129) - - APR 17, 2011
Part of the Great Stuttgarter Beer Raid 2011. On tap at the brewpub. Pours a black color with a light tan head. Aroma is a slighty sour malt. Taste is roasted malt, nuts, and slight smoke. Palate is nice and mellow with some burnt malt.

Rune (12765) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAR 5, 2009
200ml on tap at the brewpub. Their website says 5% abv. Beige floaters on top of a murky, dark brown body. Modest smell of dark malts. Dark fruits together with slightly smoked malts in flavour. Foamy in the mouth. A bit bland impression (Stuttgart, 25.02.2009).

3.3
JoeinDahlem (1521) - Berlin, GERMANY - JAN 7, 2009
Black beer with a reddish highlight. Mild nose has some coffee roast a bit of must, some dry grass. Balanced flavor with medium bitterness on light roast, faint espresso backdrop, very faint sour pumpernickel touch. I’d like more punch, but highly drinkable.
