3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
One of about 36 special 33cl bottle that was made.
Golden and clear amber orange colored liquid pours into the glass with a small foam with porous small bubbles on top.
Aroma is lightly flowered, some hops, straws, crisp citrus, a small amount of fruits and lingering bitterness that comes creeping. Not overwhelming but enough. Feels as if it hasn’t
Taste is of mild hops, citrus, dry grass and a balancing light maltiness. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem fully carbonated so the aftertaste and middle disappears a little. Instead the bitter feeling stays and saves the beer from dying way to fast.
Palate starts with a mild feeling, somewhat flat in the beginning but then comes the bitterness and sticks for a good while. Refreshing.
overall it is a very good session ale and a bitter more than an IPA or maybe even an APA. I expect it to be much better on draft (presented tomorrow at the bar) since these few bottles were hastily made (so I’ve heard..?). It needs a little more carbonation and flavor to make a lasting impression. Moreover, I just found out that it is expected to be at 5.5% and not 4.2% which I first believed. For that alcohol percentage the taste should be more expressed, but on the positive side it felt as easy to drink as if it would have been at 4.2%. Really easy to drink!

Draught@SBWF2011. Deep golden colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, citrusy and mild caramel and toffeeish notes along with some herbs. Flavour is rather similar, but quite strong in the maltyness. Quite mild bitterness, and basically no aftertaste in hoppyness, just sweet malts. anders37 (26824) - Malmö, SWEDEN - APR 23, 2012
Draft @ Nya Tröls, Malmö. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a white head. Has a fruity malty slightly spicy yeasty aroma with hoppy hints. Fruity malty caramel spicy yeasty flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty hoppy finish.
Gott

(Draught at Sorbon, 20111115) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, white bread and hops. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, white bread, malts, fruitiness, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was bitter. Nothing really wrong with this one but it was also somewhat bland.
