Kittenbieer (294) - LYON, FRANCE - FEB 19, 2018

Darkā brown with almost no head. Mild bread aroma with some sour fruit/wine notes. Mild sweetness with roasted grain notes immediately followed by wine sweet-sourness, still mild, slightly sweet bread notes. Also some touch of bitterness.

Bottle. Color: Almost black, light brown head. Taste: Dark roasted and burnt malt, bit harsh. Notes of black coffee and raisins, bit earthy. Pretty bitter. Hints of wood and vanilla. Some vinuous hints at the finish. Long lasting earthy, bittery mouthfeel. Above medium body, slightly below average carbonation. Ok imperial stout, but a bit unbalanced and harsh.

@ Beerlovers Bar. Sori Tap Take Over 26/01/2018. Harsh roast in aroma. Sweet and Oak in taste. Strange aspect that I can't locate, Wine residu? Full bodied palate. Taste is wood and roast.

Draft tasting glass @ Beerlovers Bar. Black, little head. Nose is hugely alcoholic, boozy soy sauce, vinous, red wine, plastic & soy sauce. Taste is harsh alcoholic massive soy sauce blended with roast, red wine, burned oak,… Quite a mess, soy sauce body. Extremely hard to drink & not my thing, too hot maybe.

kraddel (9428) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - JAN 27, 2018
Pours black, small white head. Smell is woody, red fruits, very familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Taste is full, sharp, wine, oak, red fruits, rather sweet. Medium thick body , medium low carbo. Nice beer, very attipical impy. Mostly barrel taste, but not overpoweringly so.

Chocolate, coffee, caramel, forest fruits, red wine, wood in nose. Pours black with tan head. Taste is sweet to medium sweet with chocolate, coffee, pralines, berries, vanilla and red wine. Medium bitter finish with red wine in the aftertaste, soft carbo, full body. Overall excellent sipper, tastes like blended Impy with chianti. Probably not for everyone.

Smak: to połączenie gorzkiej czekolada, z wytrawnym czerwonym winem. W tle jest jeszcze trochę kawy. Finisz jest lekko cierpki, wysycenie niskie, a ciało średnie. Alkohol dobrze ukryty Ogólnie: Ciekawy imperialny stout, na którym beczka odcisnęła swoje piętno.
