My discovery from the Bärner Bier Festival 2017. Smell: leather, sourness, wine. Taste: complex notes of wine and beer, with sourness mid- to mid-high. 28th May 2017, another bottle brought by Mat to the Burning Soul brewery tasting session, cheers mate. Red hue to the amber pour, weak topping of off-white bubbles. Winey, red berry aroma, taste had a sour front with red wine, oak and berries within the tart/sharp nature of the beer. 330ml bottle @ Burning Soul tasting, brought by me. Pours deep reddish amber, thin off-white head. Aroma is fruity red berries, some defined oaky red wine, continuing to taste. Bottle at Burning Soul tasting night; clear amber pour with a thin beige head, aroma has big red fruits, taste has tart red fruits slightly acidic, slightly woody, decent.

Tap at Erzbierschof. Murky dark orange color with no head. Aroma is oak, vineous, prunes, a bit nutty. Taste is vineous, prunes, some oak sugars, tannic, slightly tart bite, the sourness is balanced by the oak though. Slightly warming finish. Oily mouthfeel, low carbonation. Very good!

Bottle at Erzbierschof MC. Pours clear ruby with a coarse foam. Aroma is prune, dark fruit, slightly boozy, some red wine barrel. Body is heavy, sweet, fruity, and slightly slightly sour. Palate lingers on fruit. Very nice!
