Hanuta06 (469) - Washington, USA - APR 21, 2013
Serving: from bottle--purchased at Sound Brewery. Aroma: moderate apple aroma. Appearance: very small, light-brown, initial head that disappeared in seconds. Fully diminishing longevity and fair lacing. Hazy, dark-orange body. Taste: moderately sweet, cherry-like initial flavor, and moderately sour finish with average duration. Palate: medium bodied with oily texture and soft carbonation. Overall: good.

Bomber as a gift. Clear deep red body with a tall head. Though nice immediately out of the fridge, this gets amazing as it warms. Aromas of plums, dark cherry, soil, and chocolate waft from the glass. Palate is full, but still on the dryish side. Every thing is clean and direct. Itís delightfully fruity. Nice malty toffee balance with notes of sweet bread and chocolate. Spot on textbook dubbel.

Draft. Aroma of sweet candy. Pours a clear reddish brown with tan head. Has a medium sweet taste. Full bodied and smooth. Excellent Dubbel.

snoworsummer (5624) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - SEP 7, 2016
Draft at the brewery. Pours clear reddish copper with a fizzy beige head. Tastes like dried fruits, candied malt, earth, and wood. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like dried fruits, candied malt, earth, wood, and banana.

Alphadelic (2235) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 3, 2016
A rich, deep caramel/fudge nose. In the mouth it has a well-judged carbonation, itís dry with a sticky fruit flavor, a bit more of that fudge. If there is a fault itís definitely in the body, which is a touch thin. The beer is good but comes off a little shallow compared to itís truly Belgian counterparts.

(22oz bottle) Pours a clear amber body with a medium cream head. Aroma of caramel, raisins, banana, and clove. Flavor of caramel, earth, yeast, grass, and banana with a moderately dry finish.

22 oz bottle from Lifesource Natural Grocer. $7.99 Darker brown ale with a thick and tight bubbled creamy head. Aroma Mildly phenolic and slight pepper..earthy, some blackberry..OK Taste similar to the aroma..sweeter cocoa finish. OK mouth feel could use more carbonation. Nice beer but not a great dubbel

Capa (3255) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - DEC 3, 2015
A small fizzy head on this dark brew. I really couldnít get in this one. It seemed like quite a mess. It had some classic dubbel traits but none of them were I concert with each other. They were very disorganized. An unpleasant earthy note throughout. Not something Iíll be having again.

DuffMan (10276) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 23, 2015
Bottle, shared at game night. Dark brown, copper highlights, tan head. Estery fruity caramel, lightly spicy.

3.4
biirusaikou (2705) - - JUN 29, 2015
Draught at Beer Wars. Roasty malt, dark cherry, dried fruit and toffee, light sour edge, dry yeast finish. Interesting take on a Dubbel but a bit heavy and unbalanced, tough to down a full pint.
