Prufrockstar's rating

3.2
   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 13/20
Prufrockstar (2132) - Moscow, Idaho, USA - JAN 25, 2013
On draft at College Inn Pub. Aroma is heavy with malty sweetness (caramel, candy). Resin from the hops. Clear amber color, minimal head. The "malt backbone" here really asserts itself and actually dominates the taste for me. Hop bitterness is present on the finish, but is overpowered by the malty sweetness. Medium/full body, slick, with average carbonation. Overall: A little sweet for my taste, and a full pint feels like about 4oz too many for how much of this I want to drink in one sitting.

On tap at Sound Brewery tasting room. Pour was semi-cloudy copper, with an off white head. Classic aroma of citrus and pine; flavor was pine, grapefruit, and alcohol, with a medium body and bitter finish.

Tap. Copper and slightly opaque. Old school PNW style. Strong caramel malts, and with pine and resin. High bitterness. Noticeable alcohol. It’s just so so.

Pours deep gold, foam island head. Big big big aroma of pine, funk (socks), soap, mango, Taste and mouth feel is thick, syrup but cut with big bitterness, citrus, flowers. Makes you think about each mouthful. Tasty and a proper IPA.

Brettsky06 (505) - Manitoba, CANADA - JAN 28, 2017
On tap at barley brothers, pours a clear yellow color. The hops and bitterness seem to overpower anything else that might be in this beer. Not a big fan of this one

Sweet flavour of caramel malt, peach, tropical fruit, orange peel and alcohol with a dry, bitter, hop resin finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Delicious.

robinvboyer (4722) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 21, 2016
Clear, dark copper pour, with a large off white head. The aroma is loaded with sticky, resinous pine notes. Some candied, slightly citrusy zest. Light lemon, and grapefruit. Some sweet, and malty cereals, hints of nuts and some bread. Viscous mouthfeel, good carb.. Medium to high mouth feel, more resinous pine, slightly soapy, but we’ll balance with some, semi sweet bready malts. Alcohol is well hidden, a well balanced old school dipa.

3.7
