Dry hopped, and fermented with an aromatic Belgian yeast strain, Monk’s Indiscretion has an intense tropical hoppy aroma and flavor, with balanced bitterness, and is scarily drinkable for such a strong beer. *** 2012 NABA Bronze Medal Winner. *** 2011 US Beer Open Gold Medal Winner. *** 2011 Seattle Caskfest 3rd place People’s Choice. Draught at the Great Japan Beer Festival in Osaka (7/13/2013). Big funky nose, manure-level yeast and hopping. Great flavor movement throughout: tart-bitter / grapefruit in mid & final / finishes mildly sweet with little tracks of alcohol. Very good.

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy amber/copper with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of floral and lightly citrusy hops, spicy yeast, some pale and caramel malts, and hints of fruits. Flavor the same with a nice blend of the hoppiness and Belgian attributes. Average texture. A good, hoppy, Belgian beer.

A great beer overall. The pour has a glowing, beautiful reddish orange with a thin white head that lingers. The nose has a noted aromatic and floral dry hop with big yeast aromas and estery citrus. Beautiful tropical fruits are noted subtly on the palate with grapefruit and a hint of pineapple. Strong Belgian yeast and flavour with honey and a light toasted wheat malt. Beautiful fruits with a floral hop including a mild hop spice. Warm boozy finish. Just a nice strong Belgian brew.

Served at about 50F in a tulip. Pours a crystal clear amber with a small head and minimal lacing. Taste is spicy with a Belgian candy sugar taste. Very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A break from the poor ass review tour. Bought this today. Better be good at 11$. Bigfoot fight. Fragrant floral, oranges, yeasty bite and mellow pepper here and there, Rrgf, it’s ok. Taste. Meh. Alcohol and annoyance. Peppermint, pepper, yeast, US influence is not enough, tons of hops, spicy, mean citrus, good things that are not balanced even remotely. Pull this back to 8.5% and maybe it works. NOT WORTH THE COIN.

Draught at Devil Craft, Tokyo - RBJG#2. Clear amber - white head. Nice hoppy, fruity hoppy, amber malts, lovely bitterness, super fresh hoppy, resin, citrus, dry bitter finish. Lovely - fresh and complex.

22 oz. bottle- Pours hazy golden with a one finger white head. Aroma is hoppy, tropical fruits, pine, bitter. The taste is the same, this is definitely hopped up to IPA status, like a Belgo IPA imperialized. Body is medium full and carbonation is high. As it warms some caramel malt presents itself, very disappointing, started out so good.

Tap at Devil Craft. Golden colour with small white head. Aroma fruity, funky. Taste is bit Belgian, bit chemical. Pretty regular tripel type brew, and pretty nice but bit of strangeness. Quite spiky. Another speedy rating as I think I ordered too late again. When will I learn?
