2013 bottle pours brown, beige head. Bread, toast, malt, biscuit, some caramel. Generally sweet, mild flowers. Big body, slight cardboard.
Bomber poured a clear reddish amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of caramel, dried fruit, toffee and light tobacco. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of toffee, tobacco, dried fruit and light caramel with a smooth dry lingering toffee finish. nealblind (1849) - Seattle, Alabama, USA - NOV 16, 2015

Dark amber color, clean, with small head. The aroma is a bit cheesy, some Parmigiano Reggiano. Decent body strength, just moderate sweetness; some caramel flavor, some malt, light Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, and a fair amount of bitterness, and hop resins.
Good beer, nothing exceptional though,
Bottle - Caramel, toffee and some umame. As it warms, light butterscotch. Clear copper with a decent beige head. Burnt caramel, toffee and a long finish. Sweet and some nice bitterness to balance. Decent. ACHops (1566) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 19, 2015
On tap @ Uber. Pours medium orangish copper with very thin white head. Aroma is hefty sweet dark caramel malt and booze. Taste is likewise - big sticky caramel malt, plenty boozy but sweetness is actually restrained. Body rather thin for the style and only light hops for balance. I’d expect a bit more complexity from a barleywine.

Sampled at esbls. Light brown. This is subtle and has no heat. Fruity with lots of malts and some yeast. Decent. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - JUN 22, 2014
Bottle at a barley wine tasting. And noticeably the worst of the evening. Pours a clear amber color with a small head on it. Nose has some slight caramel elements, and seems a bit harsh to me. Taste was light and I actually found that there wasn’t much to this beer. Meh.
