I love porters. This one is right where I like it. Not over the top but still dark and slightly rich. Toasty malt flavor with very light taste of hops.

On tap at Sound Brewery tasting room. Pour was cola brown with a thin tan head; aroma is of chocolate and stone fruit; flavor is roasted - almost burnt - nut shell from the malts, with a sweet, bitter finish.

Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - FEB 28, 2017
Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a dark brown color with a little off white head that dissipated at a decent pace. Left some stringy lace.
The aroma had some sweet dark fruits blending with some brown sugar, roasty coffee beans and some milk chocolate.
The flavor blended all of those previously mentioned aromas sweetly and letting the roast smoothly move in underneath. Adds some toast in the aftertaste and lets in a semi-delicate sweet to roasty finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. ABV felt fine.
Overall, nicely done English styled Porter that I would like to have again.

Sound Brewing, Poulsbo. Dark, clear brown. Small tan foam. Cool, dark beer. Bitter chocolate malt, clean tight malt. Less smoke, more dark bitter. Solid American porter. clean bitter. OK.

Draft pour pint at The Red Hot. Really thought I’d spend the majority of the day enjoying the different Tacoma breweries, but when my freaking softball team won’t lose, it cuts deep in my beer time. Lucky for me, I can still turn to a classic favorite stop of mine to enjoy the local brew options. A fitting name to this beer. A crusher porter for sure. When done correctly, I believe a porter is the most crushable beer style. Dark brown pour with a slight glow. Patchy beige cream head. Initial robust malt.aroma, with a flavor that leads to a more creamy milk chocolate. Not a super unique porter by any means, but well executed and clearly meet their intentions. Overall, I loved it.a

Bottle:   Dark ruby, roasted malt nose, moderate tan head, little lacing.   Dry cocoa and roasted malts on the tongue.   A little hop bitterness.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Lingering roasted malts, cocoa, and by now some dark chocolate.   Seems like a fairly solid example.

Draft at the brewery. Pours clear burgundy brown with a thin, beige head. Tastes like burnt malt, smokey wood, nutty, earthy, and light ash. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like burnt malt, ashy wood, dark coffee, and earth.

Capa (3490) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - JAN 2, 2016
Deep brown with a creamy, light tan head. Aroma is chocolate, light coffee, toasted biscuit, light caramel, Very inviting. Medium, oily bodied. Flavor comes across more roasted than the aroma lets on. Chocolate, toast, some light coffee, a bit of dark fruits. Has a slightly tangy, earthy finish. A very well thought out and executed porter. Would be happy to have this again and again. (#2500)

Rating #1342. Sampled this out to staff and colleagues at Parkland Liquor in Stony Plain 02.12.2014. Pours a bubbly brown with a weak white cap, little retention. Aroma is cocoa, coffee, earth. Palate is mild cocoa, espresso - sweetness curbed by lovely earth bitterness pronounced. Great porter.
