Fits the regular pale lager mould with no surprises. Mildly sweet, no hop flavour to speak of, nothing nasty at all really. It’s fresh tasting enough and really quite drinkable. The best part about it is that you can win your school fees! Good to see a brewery taking an interest in kids education!

330ml can into schooner glass. Thanks to Bitterlady. Aroma of sweet malt and cardboard. Pale amber beer, high carbonation. Fluffy white head which reduces to film. Light body, slight fizz on swallowing. Sweet finish with a small touch of tin. I thought this would taste like XXXX but it’s much flatter and sweeter. I bet you can drink this real quick in the heat of PNG.

Geproefd @ RBBWG2017. Kleur is helder geel met smalle witte schuimkraag. Geur is hoppig en vrij chemisch. Smaak is waterig, hoppig en bitter.

Bottle share at RBBWG 2017, thanks for sharing.

Alengrin (5554) - BELGIUM - FEB 28, 2017
Bottle shared by 77ships at RBBWG in Antwerp. Industrial pale lager with thin but moussy, snow white head and clear pale straw golden robe with greenish hue. Aroma of sweaty old grains, damp cloth, dishwater, some iron, fermenting grass, plastic. Very neutral, thin grainy flavor, typical grainy sourishness, medium carbo, thin mouthfeel, bit metallic; plastic-like impressions and a very faint grassy touch in the finish, otherwise remaining thinly and neutrally grainy. Watery, bland, very thin and completely industrial lager below average even for this generally very poor style, but a country tick I never thought I’d encounter, apparently brewed by some local Heineken plant...

Sampled at the RBBWG 2017. Thnx for sharing, everyone ! Pours clear blonde, small white head. Smell is bit malty, rather chemical. Taste is sharp, bit bitter. Rather chemical. Wattery. OK at best.

Head gone in secs, pale golden beer. Pale malts, grains, dull and dusty nose. Sweet, watery, rainwater, pasta cooking water. Light bodied, well-carbonated, watery. Oh dear. Let them brew indigenous.

77ships (10455) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - FEB 26, 2017
Joined trade with tderoeck / obtained from Rubin77. Thanks to both! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBWG VI (2017). Extremely pale golden. Nose is vegetables, chemical, industrial, faint vegetable stock. Taste is herbal, vegetabel, corn, mileder than int the nose, overall quite watery, approaching flavorless. Bland for its own good, there is much worse.
